- The nazm of "Kabhi Kabhi" that we all have heard in the beautiful baritone of Amitabh Bachhan is originally quite long. The words in the original one are different too and little hard to comprehend. Perhaps that was the reason that the song that we heard in the film was a simplified version. For all the literature nerds like me, here's the original nazm which I have sung on the famous tune of Kabhi Kabhi that we all are fond of. Hope you all enjoy.

My urdu/Hindi is probably at 8 year old level (born and raised in America; mom and dad from Pak) so I don't know all the words or their meanings yet like the original, but I love how soft and gentle they sound.
Actually, I think there should be a new arrangement that merges and mixes the best of both...
For instance, I think the first verse should go w the movie version and then go into the first verse of this version because i love the sentiment behind her being in the stars and brought down to earth for him; very powerful romantic yearning.
I don't know. Something like that. Do you get what I'm saying? Like a hybrid composition that is new, yet still familiar.
