I love Sahir'poetry and value his love for Amrita. Amrita lived in Lahore before partition i have feelings for her for this reason also. The pathos in these verses is unparalleled and make the song immortal. The two couldn't get married is tragic.

I don’t know the love story of Sahir Saab and Amrita Pritam but the poet’s love is simply dribbling from the lyrics beautifully rendered by Shri Rajesh Singh. Wow! The music is the same in the film version! How come? Yes the rendering was soulful and the tabla was divine! Love was so PURE AND PRISTINE in those days .❤

This is the best rendition of Kabhi Kabhi. Starting from feeling, pronunciation, murkiya to the letting go off at the end of line (popular and so appropriate in ghazals). I hv seen Jagjit Singh live and sure he would hv been so proud of this masterpiece.... just Wow!!!!
I have always loved this song, but this, the original song has given me Goosebumps. For the first time I felt that the language URDU is the most beautiful language when it comes to writing poetry. What a pity I don't understand even ten percent of it.
