👀👍! i do eventually want to make a custom topre build, but a not a priority for me rn. also, hoping that topre parts get even more accessible than they are now in the future so that more people can enjoy topre!
I don’t know really anything about topre, it looks like a fun little section of the keyboard hobby to dive into, but it always sounds like finding parts for these boards are either very hard or very expensive. Still super unique and that upgraded Leopold sounded amazing
parts are slowly getting more and more readily available, sho sells parts/cases, cipulot produces pcb's and plate files, and of course norbauer with his casing...still not cheap tho
@@TofuTypes I appreciate that it's a mix of classic and modern but also unique from a lot of the modern boards of today, definitely a nice add to a collection that already has modern clacky boards
still haven't went down the topre rabbit hole, but dang, it seems there's a lot going on there with the build! Definitely a cool aesthetic, though I'm not sure the sound is for me
Haven't been that active with keyboards for quite some time now. Are those topres? And there are custom topre keyboards out there? Also, GMK keycaps on topres? Wow
@@erones yup these are topre! There’s a good number being released at least there’s more than one option haha. And yup deskeys made sliders that are mx stems
I want one, too but purchasing any case for the fc660c OR the hhkb pro 2 from Germany is just not worth it as you pay at least 25% or more shipping+taxes.. looking out for one on mechmarket but up to now, I only found a french guy selling the heavy 6 PC from France. The PC is nothing for me..sad.
@@jacebeleren429 originally I think it came in a box of 100? Used them for a bit, they got too heavy too fast so took them out xD but sure as hell made them super snappy
I love that last second jumpscare 🤣
I knew shit was going to be real when the hat went on backwards.

Nice vid mate
Gotta need a separate soundtest of the Heavy 6 so I can spam it
Quite a unique sound, nostalgic but more like a modern and cleaner sounding Model M
right? not a bad sounding board to use on a daily basis haha

Great vid! How tactile are the pink bke des domes? Can you compare the feel kinda to any mx switch on the market? Ty in advance
i can't think of one that would match the MX market as of right now, but they're like a slightly rubbery-er holy panda if that makes any sense at all

Where did you get the alu plate. The stock plate is steel right?

what config to avoid GMK interference? the housing / sliders?
exactly what you see me build, i haven't had any issues with gmk
Holy.
wait wait wait… how many spacebar springs was that? do you actually do that?

@ Now I wanna try it.
is heavy a brand?
It is a design from Norbauer. He designs aftermarket cases for topre keyboards. They are ridiculously expensive for what they are.
Once you go topre you never go back
