This is great! I've definitely made all these mistakes but no one ever told me what I was doing wrong. I'd like to see more videos like this with acrylic and other mediums!
@@Kunstelie I'd love to see this type of video with watercolor. I have a problem with my watercolors always running together. I'm not sure if I'm adding too much water, not waiting long enough, etc. Thank you for your videos!
Very interesting..... I have a real problem trying to paint a cliff or large rocks. If you have the time maybe you could do a tutorial on that? Thanks for sharing!
When i am doing a waterfall, i always did the mistake where i paint the waterfall first and making the rocks look flat.. it looks terrible but after watching this video, it really improves my painting! Thank you for sharing the painting tips
Very informative, thank you. Though I can't help but feel that white is still the dominant part of the waterfall. I'm about to paint one (as a complete beginner!) on a wall and that's what worries me the most: the ratio between the colour of the water and the white of the waterfall. Would you say it's essentially about putting the bright white mostly at the top/middle and then darken it as it nears the bottom?
Essentially, althoug I would be careful of using pure white when putting colours down. If you tone down your whites a bit, you can add your whitest white highlights right at the end, giving that pop to your painting. If you need some help with painting on a wall, there is a great channel @muraljoe that you can check out!
Waaaw it’s interesting but How do you move the brash while making bushes it’s so hard for me to make bushes and Which type of color can I use because am learning in a book
Hi Rhea To mix brown, you can mix together red, blue and yellow. Play aorund with the amounts of each colour to get a brown that you like. To create the higlights on the rocks I added a bit of white to my brown.
That first waterfall i draw when i was a little kid umm 10 years older now I'm 35 making a game and looking some rafrance for creating background for my game so I seen her how to draw waterfall. Thanks.
Hi Karen Is it only black ink or is it different colours? If it is only black, I might suggest watching one of my videos on drawing waterfalls, as it is only one colour (th-cam.com/video/otvC5RS7kIA/w-d-xo.html). Working with ink might also be a similar process as charcoal (th-cam.com/video/U0ynvE_R5j0/w-d-xo.html), because you can blot out and add colour back in again. Ink behaves similarly to watercolour, so maybe checking out a watercolour waterfall video tutorial as well. Ink can be frustrating, so I think my best advice would be to try and enjoy te process :)
Love it. Now I need to practice, practice, practice. I have never attempted a waterfall....but I am here because I want to try.
