You didn't mention it but I assume you have already added a secondary fuel filter, 2 to 5 micron, if you're going to do a lot of outback trips. The factory filter is about 10 micron. What about a catch can to prevent any further build up of EGR emissions and oil vapour into the inlet manifold. I have a 2011 NW and just cleaned the intake manifold at 180,000 and it was around 1/3 blocked, the performance and fuel efficiency change was amazing. Planning on adding a Steinbauer to the fuel system as they don't increase pressure in the fuel rail just the duration of injection for more torque when towing. Hope all goes well for you during the build.
Thanks for the suggestions mate. As of now everything under the hood is completely stock. All of the things you suggested were on the table for when the time comes to do some under the hood work. I'll be getting a full manifold clean at 200,000 which is fastly approaching.
@@nextleveladventuresau Didn't mention I added an "EGR delete" cable after the intake clean as I didn't want it to need cleaning ever again. Well worth investing in the Pajero, they're long term good value.
Nice vid mate 👍 wouldn't roof bars be better for mounting the tent rather than a rhino platform? Would've thought it would save some serious $$ and also some weight . . . .
Yeah mate not long after I made this I seen the pioneer platforms start snapping off cars so I’ve now decided to go with three roof bars that bolt into the existing holes that the rails are now bolted into. Heaps stronger and better for the tent I want
Hey mate the van is a lotus Freelander 216. As of yet is hasn’t towed the van since lifted. Before the lift it did it well although the ball weight is too much for the Pajero so it’s unusual that I’ll tow that van. Cheers - Ryan

The 2 blanks near the rest diff lock button are for seat heaters in some models.

For the spare tyre carrier there's a company in western Australia that makes replacement plates for the sides of the spare wheel for $270
Thanks for the info mate. I ended up cutting off only the piece that goes over the tire. the sides are still on for now.
