I've also had my Silverado for one year, and it has the same miles as yours. Time for my first oil change! Oh yea. I also have a Mustang...lol. All on my channel.
I use Pennzoil platinum and I change at 4000 miles so in-between my dad recommended 3000 and the dealership 5000 but honestly 3000 miles is a waste of oil since these new engines are really efficient
In my opinion with how this this oil is and how dark it was I would not go past 3-3.5k, I know some people with these new truck and engines that have gotten engine knock after about 10k miles and i don't think leaving the oil in there for the recommended intervals helped
@@arturocruz3762 I like to use the Manufacturers filters just in case there is ever a warranty claim. they can't come back and say i used a filter that did not filter the correct microns
Hey what type socket did you use for the plug? Looks like a star wrench would work. My plugs corners are worn so a deep socket isn’t helping me

I sold my 2020 Mustang for the GMC truck. I wish I could have both.
Awesome video!! What number oil filter is it?? Thanks
Where in the world is the oil dipstick ?!?
Does anyone put new oil in the new filter before installing it?
Yes just a little tiny bit
next time pour 3 quarts into the empty container to make it easier than stopping and checking on the full container into the vehicle.

I ran Pennzoil Ultra-Platinum for 10 years in my manual 2012 Ford Mustang; 180,000 miles.
@@andrewde78 how often you changed the oil?
@@johnnynguyen9449 Hmmm between 4,500-5k mikes, around there.
I heard your oil was very watery
What do you think about going every 5k?

Thanks for the video have the same truck with 2023 miles going to change oil soon . God bless you

8 qts of oil vs 5 so 7500 is ok and just check it as the miles roll by.
Super easy! Are those Rhino Ramps?
Indeed they are
@@aandamustangs good to know they'll hold up a truck! I got a pair last year. Thank you for the video and the comment reply ❤️
