Like your regular style of videos better Alex, your narrations is interesting and somewhat relaxing to listen to. Heard from Gregor that there are some upgrades coming for the Prophet Compact, he will make a video about them when they are available. 🙂

How many skyrats do you landed for a day usually?
That depends on where I shoot and what the weather is, friend 🙂
In my indoor permission I've shot 300 a day, but it's a heavily infested place.
The day depicted in this video I shot a little over twenty, I think, and then I had to leave because the store was about to open.

@@AirRifleActivities I'm just contradicting the "be quiet and shoot" naysayers. I like the commentary with angles and distance and holdover info. It's very informative, educational, and interesting to me to see how angles and distance play into precision shooting. Keep up the good work. I LOVE watching those pigeons pop and drop. Wish I had a couple target rich permissions like that here where I am. I'm always searching for a grainery or feed plot or elevator with a bunch of birds flying around. But no luck so far. Lol.

When you "talk" you are adding to the value/content of the vid...you're not wasting time discussing your favorite ice cream. I would suggest that you have the balance just right...when it's "just a shootin' day" there will naturally be a little less dialogue, but the bits you DO include (like the example about the angle of a shot) are helpful to your viewers. By comparison, on a day when you are explaining a new piece of gear, as on your excellent review of the "One Leaf", there will naturally be more talk/instructions/tech-specs. Plus, if YOU start worrying about whether you're including too much or too little dialogue, that discomfort will show and ruin the 'vibe' of the whole thing. Just be natural, it seems to have worked so far.! 👍🏼 I really enjoy your channel the way it is.
When you're comfortable, we're comfortable. Capisci? ;)

@@AirRifleActivities Was looking for anything new today, but came back to this one for a second...I got a pigeon yesterday, first one in a while! I used my (@$#%^%^&) airsoft rifle, about 20 yards, about 5 meters off the ground, and I remembered your tip about hold-under, so I gave it just a bit. Hit! Low frontal neck, dropped like a stone. I was so glad, as these skyrats nest in a few VERY hard-to-reach nooks above my 2nd floor balcony roof, over my driveway and foul the side of my truck. So those tips really DO impact your viewers. Cheers!

Hmmm, I don't know. Your comments are useful and shine the light on a job details, but I also get why some would just want a raw footage :) For me it's more of the cam track that is missing. I see hit, HEAR the ground pop, then we go post mortem. I'd like to see some subject tracking :D Not because I enjoy watching how they fare during their dying flight, but more from a practical perspective. Headshots produce a lot of flurry, oftentimes ending with a bird landing in some obscure places. That is because the heart keeps pumping blood in all the organs until the brain finally gives way. Chest shots, on the other hand, are usually an immediate show stoppers where the target just, well, stops in place as it's heart no longer pumps the oxygen to their brains. A bird has no way of flying elsewhere, just pops on the ground. Much more effective and, hmm, humane, I'd wager. Brain death with no heart activitiy is a 100% deal. Brain shot can be anything from seconds, to tens of minutes of dying. Depending on the shot. Oh, excuse my rambling :D
No, you're right, I prefer heart and lung shots myself, thank you for your commentary. As for my narrative, it will be included in the following videos, this one is an exception.

I enjoy watching your videos. I must say I personally prefer it when you mention the distance, angle, hold under or over. It would also be good to know the power you are using in ft lbs / joules from your rifle. Then show the kill then “got it” then the slow motion straight after. Also when the cats come and take the sky rats away. At least they are getting used for food not just destroyed or binned. It makes for a better watch as it’s not just shot after shot after shot which can become boring to watch. Cheers from the UK.
You're spot on, mate, I'm a viewer myself and I hate watching videos that contain just a string of cam footage. I'm trying to make my viewers feel as if they're there with me, although I admit sometimes the time presses me and I can't film all I'd like to...
At the video start I stated that all shots were between 45 and 65 yards. Not the same as stating the distance before each shot, I know. Usually I do it when I shoot long distance, but apparently I have to start doing so on all my vids.

I think you must be up at around 40 / 60 lbs ft at least to reach some of those great 100m + shots. Keep them coming, cheers.
