    Thanks for the video, it is really useful my son had brain tumor removed after that his Left hand and left leg become week .I found your video and it is really helpful, please keep making videos like this only consider my polite suggestion that is,allow your followers to do exercises with you which mean repeat exercises and they can do it with you like they are with a occupational therapist. Thanks once again

    Thank you for this type of video. It’s really helpful to spend time focusing on specific affected parts of my body. I find it’s helpful for my brain to mirror the movements with my unaffected hand and arm when possible. I’m 6 1/2 months post stroke and have regained a lot of movement thanks to practicing with your help. I still have a long way to go so thank you for providing motivation with your excellent videos!!

    This video is incredible! I'm about one year post-stroke and I have good movement, it's just not very pure -- spasticity and tone tend to always get in the way. I will probably do the exercises in this video every day until I see the results I need.

    Thank you for this. I currently don't have the ability to move the wrist or fingers, but can do the arm ones. so I will save this one. do you have a video to help get the wrist & fingers moving?

      @pameladavies, You are so welcome. So you've maybe heard the phrase, "Proximal stability for distal mobility." I would encourage you to keep working out your shoulder blades, shoulder, and elbow in order to continue building that proximal stability.
      If you don't have any movement at all in the wrist or fingers, you can do a couple of things!
      First, engage in some mental practice activities, where you think about and visualize yourself moving your wrist and fingers. This can actually help to stimulate the part of the brain that controls that movement as though your wrist and fingers were actually moving.
      Second, go ahead and try the wrist/finger exercises, even if you don't get any movement. The goal in the beginning won't actually be movement, but rather to get the brain stimulated to try and start remaking neural connections back to your wrist/fingers!
      I hope this helps :)

    Hola me gustan mucho sus videos . Necesito rutinas de ejercicios para mano mi hijo tiene tres años con una hemiplejia derecha y no tiene función en su mano tiene espasticidad no tan severa siempre ha tenido terapeuta ocupacional aún así no logra abrir la mano.Por favor me ayudaría mucho saber que puedo hacer que sea lo correcto en neurorehabilitacion.Todo esto es producto de un TEC severo.Gracias saludos

    So with exercise 6 palms up and down what is the best way to stretch to get movement for palm up?

      @nikkiepperson, If you're having trouble moving into palm up, you can take your unaffected hand and gently turn your affected palm up by moving your forearm at the wrist. As is my general recommendation, don't push through pain!

I'm planning on making a video that includes weights that you may find helpful both for strengthening and spasticity.       @tharshanabala, Thank you so much for commenting. It's difficult for me to give specifics because I don't know your specific situation. However, as a general rule, if you've been approved by your doctor to exercise and move within your full range of motion, actively moving your affected arm is the best thing you can do. Use it as much as you can with daily tasks (think dressing, bathing, cooking, cleaning, etc). Our brains like familiar activities and we see neuroplastic changes when we do things that are important to us!

    Wrist movement is minimal. Forearm supinational/pronation is minimal. My active hand helps the weak hand......

      That's okay! Like I state at the very beginning, everyone's at a different place and there's no shame wherever you are!

    your exercises are not realistic because you did not have a stroke. You should have a real stroke patient to show the difficulty and realness of how hard it is for the person who is watching .

      There's others post stroke who've had improvement with these exercises.... they've commented. Sorry for your situation. I have Systemic scleroderma and sclerodactyly to hands and polymyositis. This is nice video
