Hi. You always give right approach to things. I am too suffering from somatic OCD. I come to your channel often. I know someone who has suffered from OCD understands it best. Keep on making the videos 😊You are doing great.

Well done! You really had my number with this one. I love Albert Ellis. Going to get back to the work of challenging my irrational beliefs to stubbornly refuse to make myself miserable about anything!

Really loved this video!! I've been watching the ocdrecovery videos for a year now and reading the books on the reading list and it's really helped but struggled for ages on how to dispute rational beliefs. This was so useful for that and I'm really grateful, thanks nick 😊

I have sensorimotor ocd ,lately i have been fearful of absolutely anything whether it be the infinite sky or darkness with stars glowing,i have also developed fear of fear which means that now m fearful about feeling scared of everything or anything,OCD loves to latch us in each n every way possible, and this all has been happening just because of those beliefs i had hold within myself, disputing the root cause could be the game changer no matter how hard u try on secondary level you will never be able to fully recover

Hey Octavarium! So the good news is the later part in your comment isn't true. You absolutely can recovery. I understand how difficult this is to see when you're in the midst of suffering, but you can - if we couldn't the channel wouldn't be called OCD recovery.

@@aguywhohikes1271 wow really? I just thought that if ur chronically stuck, you cannot recover until you don't dispute your beliefs which is the primary cause of all the suffering by secondary i meant only relying on medications and stuff but never actually trying to care about the root cause

The fear of being burnt out definitely shows up for me now and again too

Why would you say childhood trauma causing OCD is nonsense but then center your entire recovery approach around disputing beliefs? Where do you think beliefs come from?

Hi Nick, thank you for the great video!
I have a request, could you please make a video breaking down the fear of social rejection/judgment specifically for saliva/swallowing Sensorimotor OCD?
I realize that fear of social rejection/judgment has always been one of my biggest fears, and one that’s keeping me stuck in the OCD cycle.
    Thank you,
    Have a nice day!

Are you able to apply this system to ROCD? In a video?

Fantastic video! I have one question. If fear of fear is just fear (which causes an uncomfortable emotion) shouldn’t I just no longer mind if fear of fear happens. Maybe getting used to the uncomfortableness of trying to take control when I can’t?

Hey W! Yes! So when it comes to fear of fear, let's say being stuck forever, the best thing we can do is learn to bring that fear with us everywhere we go!

Hey, Nick! This was an amazing and very practical video! I have one question: how should you go about continuing to dispute your irrational beliefs? Should you keep reading what you wrote multiple times, or write it all over again, for example? Thank you!

Hey man! So I would go 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. 1 month on 1 month off, and even now I will dispute annoyances in general life - the key is balance 😎💪

Awesome! Can’t tell you how perfect this was for me…literally just this weekend I was feeling very trapped and stressed, resentful, because I have way more obligations this coming week than I am comfortable with. Since finding this channel and watching your videos it’s like a light bulb..I’m realizing many things about myself are characteristic to the OCD personality. This is one of them.!!!!
I am a highly active person but I have fear of burn out, as you said in this video, fear of too many commitments in a short time. I never really realized that before!! Thank you Nick.😊
