this guys eats at my Ramen restaurant and he is the most Polite person ever. He came in after his indu 500 2020 win and bought the place out to feed his teammates as well as family. What a guy.
World Champion Damon Hill didn't start single seaters until he's 24. You've got a chance guys (granted he was son of a champion and was successful in bikes before that)
He’s a legend. An idle. Forever MVP. I don’t know too many drivers who can say they’ve been in as many different cars in their racing career. He’s by far in my top 10 best driver all around the board of all time. When he retires just know wherever and whatever he’s racing that field just got easier. He’s a competitor. Unlike half the field in the Indy series nowadays. Much love Takumo
Well, how come he was the only one with a bad car? Cause I remember several times him being the only one who didn't even qualify to final for being to slow.
Good for him that he has made career in Indy series. From my childhood I remember him being that slow japanese guy who didn't qualify for the main race....
He's won his titles. He'll be fine. And you can still win Indy 500 in a midfield car if you have the right setup and strategy. Can't win the series title but noone really cares about that...

Damn, started karting at 19 and still made it to formula 1,sure this guy got talent
He walked up to me and gave me his hat at the 2004 US Grand Prix. I was like 7 years old. I still have the hat its hanging in my room lol
Lucky, he's my favorite indy driver
Was it a Lucky Strike BAR Honda hat??
He drove in F1 during the V10 era. The best sounding race cars ever! He was fast & had talent.
I remember him not qualifying several times.
Started karting at 19! You hear that guys, we still have a chance 😅😅😅

He totally had potential in F1. His motto "No attack, no chance" still stands to this day
he just had it rough because all the teams in f1 were full at the time he had the talnet just not the car
Agreed!
BAR Honda was also plagued with reliability issues but Taku was pretty good.

@@theguardian6464 it was a BAR not the best when he came to indycar and had better cars he showed he had winning talented

Still cannot believe how lucky my father and I were to see his 2020 win in IndyCar🙏favorite driver, and hope to see him have future successes
He just signed with a midfield indycar team
