Genuinely glad they are bringing back the pre-turn based action mechanics from SMT V where it was relatively barebones and then expanding on it mechanically.
Having a large area to run around in quickly as opposed to having to slowly jog in narrow empty corridors, while also having the freedom to EVADE enemies in the overworld is so refreshing.

Atlus is cooking this year, first with a Persona 3 remake and now this.
I swear, the voice at 0:42 sounds a lot like Kitty Archer, the voice of Eunie in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Is this the first Atlus game with a non-US based dub? That’s pretty cool if so. There have been some fantastic dubs coming from outside America recently, with stuff like FF16, DQXI and the Xenoblade series.

i really do appreciate the world travel as well, i really enjoy RPG's that put a lot of emphasis on your journey and have unique towns and cities. It seems that there are a lot of chunky systems to learn and im all for it. im excited for october for sure. so many good games this year.
The release date may be half a year away... but at least Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is tomorrow. Needed a spiritual successor to Suikoden. Just a shame the creator passed a couple months before its release.
This game looks so cool, it's good to take a break from the usual Persona stuff and try something very different

I actually wonder if Nico will also play smt 5 vengeance cause the gameplay is very solid, the only downside was how barebone the characters and story was. Here hoping they flesh it out
The fact that some of the monsters have human parts is very unsettling. Hopefully there's a lore reason for that.
They did say that the main monsters were called Humans.
Those are humans. They even have our genus “Homo” in their names.

@@joelsasmad Yeah, this is likely a "the magic came back" scenario, but the magic destroyed the original human civilization and the knowledge was lost to time, causing the current populace to think of "our" way of life as a mythical fantasy.

Let's just hope this is not like The Caligula Effect, which was just Persona, but written by your edgy younger brother who has a Gaia Online account.
they have groups of four, these guys are so f*cked.
The problem persona 6 has going for it rn is that persona 5 royal and persona 3 reloaded are (in my personal opinion after playing every game over the last 20 years) persona at its best, so p6 has massive shoes to fill, i am looking forward to it, and i will preorder when available. But i will hold back judgement and not look at any trailers or anything until i get to play the game itself. I have said to my friends many times that original persona 3 had the best story, persona 4 had the best characters and persona 5 (mostly royal cause more Akechi is great, Kasumi and Dr Maruki are amazing) brings everything to around an 8 or 9, story great but not as good as 3 and characters memorable but not as lovable as the investigation squad and no character comes close to Nanako.
They just need to manage to improve and polish the mechanics, finally find a way to straighten out the difficulty issues that have persistent since the base game of P5, and tell a worthwhile story.
If they can somehow manage to mesh the mystery elements of P4's story, the thematic strength and emotional impact of P3's story, and manage still to keep all the mechanical polish and what not that came with P5, they'll do great.

@@MugdhaMahdiShams Eh, it's a mixed bag across all the games. Personally, I think the team members are the best done overall in P3. Especially the male ones, in part because of the lack of social links for them ironically enough, cuz that forced the writers to work on and develop their characters outside of them and within the main story itself. Something that 4 and 5 kinda struggle with in all honesty.
Honestly, while the Social Links are a cool idea, I feel like the series has kinda out grown them. Having things like the Link Episodes in P3Re for all the characters while doing away with the social link system as it currently is seems like the best choice from my perspective. Again, it'd force them to write the main cast's characters as people who develop through the course of the actual story itself, and not something that the MC has to be a catalyst for.
@@colt1903 The linked episodes are s links in all but name. I see no reason to get rid of party member s links. Just write em better.
@@MugdhaMahdiShams That's my point. The Linked Episodes are just better. So get rid of social links, and use Linked Episodes. Then develop the characters in story. If they wanna do something with the Arcana based Social Link thing, make it not take up a time slot, but make progress slower, and change how they're done. Something like what was shown in the fake P5 game stuff that was going around before the first official trailer came out, where one of the things the Social Link ranks seemed connected to were emails/texts. This is already a WAY better way of doing things, cuz it gives the writers an ability to express the MC's personality through more than single sentence responses. The MC in the particular instance I'm thinking of had like... A whole ranting paragraph telling off the Tower Arcana person for trying to be protective of his sister(a potential party member if memory of the idea serves) even though he's out of her life 90% of the time due to his job, and refuses to make time for her normally.
That's another thing for me. No party social links. Again, develop them in story, not supplementary events. Instead, social links with the people in their lives. Brothers sisters friends, etc.
kinda cringy how they can't show a single feature off without you claiming they're basically panicing to not call it something from persona. Some of these things are just similar to rpgs in general, not exactly how persona does things.
Its such a silly hangup, but I so wish I could choose the protag's gender. It just urks me as the protags in Atlus jrpgs are often low personality and story content, so their identity matters little anyways
