that's tru in most cases but obviously there exceptions such as rally where you need to significantly decrease you speed in some cases to maintain traction and drifting or sliding ends up being faster and also on some specific asphalt tracks in some specific cars drifting can give u a time that you can't achieve while maintaining traction . Obviously though mainstream race courses usually are made so that the Slow in Fast out technique of cornering is fastest also in a real race conserving tires important and drifting dosent really allow for that
Not true at all. The entire purpose of drifting is to be able to get through the turn without slowing yourself down so much. A clean exit from the drift can win you a race. Learn to drift bro, there is practicality for it. Its also great to learn because it could save your life, it sure as fuck saved mine when I fishtailed and did a 720 on the highway and looked face to face with a semi truck driver behind me
@@kolbyf3352 first off when your dirt racing be oval track or rally cross or what ever if it's on dirt it's not called drifting we are not popping the clutch to get it sideways or anything the cars are setup to go sideways on their own when you get going fast enough in a dirt latemodel on oval we don't want to slide it depends on track conditions if it's a really wet heavy track with lots of traction when we get sideways we get so much grip on right rear tire we can power throught the corner with the throttle and drive off on asphalt you don't wanna get sideways cause you already have all the grip you need dirt your sideways so you don't have to slow down and get through corner it's faster but on asphalt what y'all call drifting is slow and years and shreds tires and that's what you try to avoid at all costs be asphalt oval, go kart oval or road course and anything else you race on asphalt tracks yes we might get a little sideways it looks like but we are not breaking traction it's the car dog tracking but to much to explain in the comment section. Stop calling dirt racing drifting it's not drifting

I was in a bad mood because I watched a video where somebody got kicked out of a K1 very unfairly. Luckily I read a lot of comments that that was an isolated incident. I love K1. I have spent so much money at k1, and I plan to continue to support k1. What differentiates you from all the other places that I've been to is that k1 has enthusiasts and not just employees.

I thought that K1 was anti-drift facility. If K1 puts up with drifters, I am done with K1.
Juan, we have dedicated drift nights where we install drift sleeve onto our karts. Drifting is not allowed on a regular basis.
