A Court of Thorns and Roses + A Court of Mist and Fury are my favorite readsss! I love them both so much! Everything I look for in a fantasy/romance. Mystery, creatures, magic, bad boys, protection, strong female but not invincible, curses, etc!
I got over SJM and the ACOTAR series with the From Blood and Ash series. I can reread ACOMAF, ACOWAR & ACOSF over and over, but never can I reread ACOTAR. It’s so boring. But From Blood and Ash, I’ve reread all 3 books like dozens of time already. I’m in love with Hawke and Poppy! Author is Armentrout. I personally thinks she supersedes SJM. In fact, once you read the series, it’s so much fun to go back and read the first book and see what you missed. It was great. I’m not a fan of the Cruel Prince. I just can’t get through it and I’m utterly disappointed with TOG series. Also, I couldn’t get into Crescent City. I probably read halfway through it and it just I just couldn’t get into it. But I’ll keep going now.
I’m really late to reply to this, but I would agree with all of this. Currently reading the first TOG and I like it so far. But I think FBAA series and it’s prequels are better than ACOTAR. Hawke > Rhysand easily
You know I completely looooved your way of rating! I also do this. I don't understand the 5star system. It doesn't work well for books. And you know I was like really (weirdly) talking to you (at the screen) and having a discussion about the books because I have also read most of them. I enjoyed crescent city at times but most of the book just felt very long and not too exciting. due to acotar giving me trust me issues about love interests, I’m wary about the love interest in crescent city. It was a good book though.
I know what you mean!! SJM has given me major trust issues about early book relationships!!! I love Hunt and Bryce, so hopefully they manage to stay together throughout the series
I felt the same as you while reading Crescent City and now I it's one of my favorite book of all time really and ACOMAF is truly perfection ! Plus I have just read Rhapsodic and I felt like it was good but I don't see all the hype around it ... the end was rushed ^^
You know what?..I actually had a hard time reading the cruel prince also! I thought it was just me but I guess not lol it was weird because I would get kinda board of it but there would be some chapters where I couldn’t stop reading it.
I’ve actually reread it since this video came out and and enjoyed it much more on my reread (still not one of my all-time favorites but I was REALLY new to dark romance when I made this video lol)
Great video! I find again we have similar taste, I didn’t read all on your list but the ones I did I agree with your ranking. Did you read The Nevernight chronicle form Jay Kristoff? It’s a fantasy, quite darker though , has romance and was a fun read for me...you might check it out

The Cruel Prince series was a NOPE! Hated it with a passion. Easily the worst series I read all 2021, maybe ever. FBAA and ACOTAR are both great series. Idc how basic that makes me, i Stan!

Thanks for watching!! I have such mixed feelings about Rhapsodic since I did enjoy the overall story but it just felt less developed than ACOTAR.
