I love Dark Fae so much. One of my favorite WC ever. I started out with ZA then after book 3 went to Dark Fae and never looked back 😅. Those sisters wrote excellent WC. I’ve also read the Darkmore Penitentiary series and it was good, but not as good as the other.
Since you like darker I would also suggest their Dead Man Walking WC duet. My absolute favorite. Unhinged characters and they are so fun!!

My latest fav why choose romance is Feral Omega (Ghost Alpha Unit) by Lenore Rosewood. It’s post-apocalyptic and paramilitary omega verse but with heavy emphasis on consent and has no pregnancy so far. The character work is stellar and each of the mmc has a complex personality, contrary to many RH in which I found the dudes to be interchangeable cardboard silhouettes… It’s also poly, which I love, and has prominent mm/mmf relationships. The first one is well done but the series gets more and more epic with higher stakes the world development as it goes. I’m currently reading the third one and it’s really great. Highly highly recommend

Omg I thought Blood of Hercules was YA too! I’m so glad you clarified it wasn’t!

Let me start with, I am so jealous of your shelves, lol. Now onto the books. Broken Bonds has been on my TBR forever. I tend to struggle with super long series.
Love Jasmine Mas. I havent read that book by her but I love her Cruel Shifterverse series! I'll have to add this to my ridiculously long TBR :)

I love The Mate Games series, but Book Four, Temptation, is my favorite. I'm obsessed with the priest, Caleb; he is incredibly spicy and reserved-which, naturally, makes me crave him even more, haha! I find him super charming. LOL. The voice actor for the audiobook is perfect as well. I definitely recommend this series!

I’ve read a couple you mentioned here, and I agree that if you like why choose you should check them out! One of my most recent why choose series is The Dragons of Ember Hollow by Tessa Hale, and it is SOOOOO good!

I saw Blood of Hercules in Target earlier and I wanted to buy it but I’m on a book buying ban this month. It’s definitely on my wish list to get hopefully soon.

If you enjoyed Dark Fae, finished the series and give the Darkmore Penitentiary series a shot too. I absolutely loved it although book 4 came out this year and it wasn’t as good as the first 3 but you’ll get a surprise about one of the kings from Zodiac Academy.

I actually liked Ruthless Boys more than ZA. While I did overall enjoy ZA, I felt the series was dragged out way too long. It also felt bogged down by so many different POV characters.

I dnf'd broken bonds with only the last book left to read because of the overuse of the word "bonded" it was annoying, and I also hated knox's back story like his personality didn't fit the trauma, which honestly went too far.
