i think last 2 sections can be better, if you got some help from an illustrator for those card illustrations, they could have made it more subtle. currently the card illustrations are very stock like. also i wonder if last section could have some interaction to show all the links. I dont think much thinking went into the social media links section. it feels like a T shaped arraw of icons.
1:20. The "give value first" happens on other channels. Not his site. His customer avatar isn't someone who needs to go to his website to find out what he does or who he is. Majority of the time you don't need to overdesign a site and, tbh, he's already proved that with his current site making hundreds of millions of dollars.
I think it would be better to use more flat colors instead of gradients. I know they look cool and all. But it doesn't give off a professional feeling. The hero section looks great, the about section can be a little condensed in terms of the text, In the services section, i personally think it would be better to just have bold text with no illustration (it kind of breaks the flow), the footer section should be black in my opinion with white elements on top. That's my take on the redesign.
don't worry dude! We got you. Your video will reach to alex as soon as possible. BTW as a website developer I can guarantee that your web design is super cool.😇
this all goes into a great direction and i see the potential your ideas have but still, am i the only one that thinks it all looks quite cheap? it looks like someone tried to be really good and professional but failed... idk how to explain it, either way i get the direction and concept but the execution just isn't right. for example, the 3 illustrations that you created with the AI - yes it's kinda cool to use such technologies since they can easily come up with good looking and detailed illustrations - but in this case, i think it goes completely into a different direction than the one you set at the beginning by introducing the clean, bold, professional typeface. it doesn't match the vibe of the brand, nor the main design direction you went with. another thing im noticing, that just doesn't feel very professional - even when knowing who you are and what kind of great work you've done in the past, which i respect - is the footer, specifically the harsh gradient and the way the social links are placed. it feels imbalanced and just like there's not enough white space used, which -again - goes completely against the design concept. these are just some of the things i noticed and wanted to let you know about - also just to give my comment some more reasoning. lastly... i know this might sound very rude and like i'm a pro or anything - which i'm not - but i just expected you, Ran - especially since Flux Academy is teaching so many people (including me) and is one of the leading TH-cam channels targeting UX/UI design - to be more... idk on point and simply just more professional. Thanks for your time and I - just so you know - will still be watching and enjoying your videos!
Very well organized. The video in the background looks amazing-great great work. I would change the line-height on the paragraphs, especially in the About section (that section looks a bit bland). The interactions could be smoother IMO and I am also not a fan of the huge social media icons. Overall it is awesome! I tried creating a Landing Page for Alex H. book launch once as a personal project but the result wasn't nearly as cool as the one Ran did.
I would love to see how you pitch it to Alex. I'm curious to see the email pitch or the loom video. I want to understand how to approach a client about redesigning their website. Could you please create a video explaining that? Really appriecte it!!🙏💓🙌
No doubt, new design is killing, but his current website is definitely doing a great business for him, The new design will make more sense if we involve alex in the process for his insights on the current one. But thanks Ran for one more valuable video. You are amazing .
We (tonik.com) redesigned their page as well, we even contacted them and got a reply that they know their website sucks but they have so much traffic the last thing they want to do is to make it better :D if you dig through twitter you'll be able to find it. Cheers!
Hey! Do you guys also offer workshops? The course is interesting, however I feel like I know almost everything except the design part of level 3. Any advice?
It is that simple - I don`t believe him/them. For me, this is such a red flag to have so bad website, this is so unpro. I am reading self-help books for about 10 years and his approach is more of the same, he is just repeating old stuff. If you want real knowledge, go back in history and study thing from there. He is just wuzz and fuzz and all this craze is ridiculous. For me this is all - one giant coach to coach to coach pyramid and the saddest thing is that all people are just following trends then trully find things for themselves. This is not a hate speach. I thing that all this mysterious and magnetism around this couple is pure marketing and they are saying it in the videos but people don`t realize it. Te only reason because they are what they are, because they are making you to believe that. About the website - it is very interesting how many successful businesses are working with bad website or without good advertising. This is a good example that there is now one way to success.
It's good. However, I think whoever is going to Alex's website is a warm lead and quite possibly someone who knows him very well and is familiar with his work. Additionally, his website begins with a quiz very intentionally. Daniel Priestly talks about this.
Great website! However, I have doubts that Alex will reach out right now because he's been putting out a casual vibe to his audience lately. That's why he dresses in beaters and shorts instead of suits and ties... So, having a cheap, simple website that is different from all the highest earning influencers is 1: setting him apart from the crowd and 2: giving him credibility as an everyman who just knows his stuff and doesn't need to flaunt it. And that last part is kinda true, 95% of the people going to his website are already mega-fans of his, so there's no need to invest in a clean, super nice website to win anybody over, he's already won them over with his content. I'm sure in the future, he will shift towards a strategy where he does need to appear more professional and win strangers over on his website, but that's not right now. Good luck tho! I could be wrong!
Does his site have some design issues? Yes. Is the sign-in flow gatekeeping? Yes. Does the mobile design suck? Yes. Does your design fix these issues? Yes. Is your design more appealing? Yes. Will he use your free design? Maybe? What's better? "Yo bro, here's two mins of me completely sh!tting all over your current website and how it sucks and how terrible it is. I fixed your crap design problems and made you a better one, FOR FREE!! You're welcome! Everyone help me make Alex use my new design!! His current website is complete garbage LOL!" ... OR ... "Hey Alex, love ya man! I saw there might be some potential opportunities for a couple of improvements on your current website. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could make some improvements, at no charge! Give it a peek! If you like it, I am happy to send you the files with no strings attached! Much love Alex!"
@@FluxAcademy Sorry man, I realize my comment was probably not great itself, and could be worded better. I'm not sure why that video intro set me off so bad. Apologies. Great work on the redesign, I'm interested to see if he picks it up.
Well. I disagree. First case - we as viewers can briefly learn about other businesses' mistakes. With well-pronounced critics. Second - another politically corrected shit that barely can bring us as design learners the value. BUT either way 99% that Hormozi won't use it cos the project was made without pre-approved strategy.
The website looks great man and you did a good job, but Alex doesn’t need or probably want a website like this. He knows his avatar well. He doesn’t need to attract anyone. They are the ones interviewing businesses to work with them. Only saying this because you made a couple jabs at the top of the video. Plus with Alex being involved with Skool and working with a lot of young entrepreneurs, the crappy website proves his point that you don’t need anything to start. Alex knows what he’s doing brother. It was a great content idea on your part, I just wouldn’t have thrown the jabs in there. Keep up the good work.
Hey Flux fam! Please share this video with Alex so he can see it and we can share the site with him 🙏
One of the best PR moves you could ever make, man. Really clever and btw. absolutely killer website!

Great to see your process! recraft will come so handy for me in the future. Thanks for the video Ran!

You can be a layman to design and you will still see the difference in both
Woooow 🔥🔥🔥Ran putting experts at their place! Love it
I went to his website just 3 days ago, I was thinking of doing this and here we are..
still do it & don't be discouraged, nothing is perfect but we are all unique.

absolutely brilliant
Wow, great stuff! It was a big improvement for alex Hormizi's website! 💯
Interesting. I've been a huge fan of Hormozis for a long time but didn't know about their website design choices haha

Epic move, Ran! Loved it!

Great stuff, Ran!
Alex said why the website is the way it is. It's because of the "Minimalistic" approach. He did the 20/80.
well the flux one is more better, very better, it makes it more trusted than a spam site
What’s the 20/80?
@@marlenygutierrez6622 it means, invest 20% to have 80% outcome..

Nice work mate. Not a fan of the icons and call to action section but the rest is solid. Nice to see your thought process too.
Great redesign
great value

Hi there! I really love your content! Would you mind sharing where you get fonts, or do you buy them? Appreciate it!
Lots of videos on this on the channel. Search "fonts" and "typography".
How did you download the videos from youtube?
Great job,
He would be crazy not to hire you officially now

We do offer workshops every once in a while, some are free on TH-cam and some exclusive for our students

I was expecting a lot more then this form you...!
yeah me too ...kind of look generic.
Why do your re-designs never focus on mobile? It seems like a lot of design work is still ignoring the mobile-first approach.
Cos moblile layout is super dull on TH-cam screen
Did he see this already?
Not as far as we know.
beat me to it.

Holy s#, in 20 seconds you already make me clap. Amazing work tbh
Do you need permission before you redesign and create a TH-cam video out of their website?
Only if they complain, lol. It's for educational and critical purposes - both allowable under fair use.
this is surprisingly.... bad?
Alex is a grifter
Can I help you make it more better
Why wait for permission?
I tried contacting you on Twitter, I also tried contacting you via Instagram and also via email, I can't get a quote for creating a website...
