Aha, and what about the 7yr old then? Steve didn't rate it very high and would only drink it for cuba libre, but not good as sipping rum.. I think havana is too commercial, it's still not that cheap.

Alltho I rate Steve his reviews or rating of these rums, we gotta keep in mind that: 1. steve his taste & preferences are personal, and might not be like yours, 2. in some of those cocktails a non expierenced drinker might not even taste a difference :) I think the cocktail daiQUIri needs the emphasis on QUI lol..
Unfortunately I can't get Havana Club Especial thanks to the emabrgo in the US, or any Cuban rum for that matter. It's good to know that Bacardi Cuatro is still nice, it's only $2 more than Superior/Carta Blanca.
Quick side note, my favourite rum for daiquiris is the plantation 3 stars. Absolutely beautiful 🙌🏽. Great reviews today. I will definitely be buying the Ron Cubay next time. 👍🏾
Try Cubay Carta blanca for Mojitos and Daiquiris will magnify the drink... Cubay Añejo great for all moments and mix with coke . You Will not regret. BUT Cubay 10 Years its a diamond..GET IT AMAZING.

Let me tell ya,.here in germany u'll pay for havanna club especial , 0,7 l , 13,99 euro,..yesterday i bought one bottle,as offer,..i got a bottle for 10,99 bucks,..so 20 pounds are about 23 euro,( abd this aint less money ).but for 23 euro u can buy ron botucal planas for example,. regards
Yeah. Upside of UK, our Selection is Huge. There really isn’t that much we can’t get. Even next day delivery. It’s awesome. The downside of the UK…TAX. Our Tax is huge. The big difference is say the El Dorado Rums. ED12 for example about £35 UK. Maybe nearly £40. Canada for example $25 which is like £15. So a whole £20+ cheaper!!!
Haven't tasted that Bacardi but Havana Club Anejo Especial is my absolute favorite rum to use in Cuba Libre.

Bacardi for me all the way has a different type of taste much better than the rest

What is your ratio on the rum and coke?
1:3 is my normal for taste tests. But if I want a longer one, I sometimes will drink 1:5
