Something that's really good about this keyboard that is worth mentioning (imo) is that its available with ISO Nordic! Which is actually fairly rare when it comes to wireless 65% keyboards with dedicated arrow keys, especially for that price! So just a tip for all my Scandinavian brothers and sisters

She hasn't done an o-ring comparison lol no offense I wanted a comparison on different o ring densities because theres 30a all the way to 80a. As well as different thicknesses etc. I want to know how this affects the sound.

@@Uno_Floydd it’s not about how o-rings sound, personally I think o-rings make the typing experience way worse, it feels really mushy, kind of like a membrane keyboard, if you want your keyboard to be more quieter, then just get silent switches.

@@SwitchandClickOfficial Oooh, that's what I was also going to ask about the stabs for this. I was wondering what you did to mod them? My plan was to install some Everglides that were lubed when they arrived and hope that would make the typing experience better. Not sure about installing foam since I don't have any around. Was opening the case simple and putting it back together easy as well?

@@SwitchandClickOfficial Hi! Sorry if this seems super random, but I was wondering if at any point, you would be able to do a tutorial on how to access the stabilizers on the K6? I tried getting to the stabs, but I couldn't pull up the plate and pcb because something was stopping them. The only reason I stopped is because I don't want to accidentally break my K6; it's been proven to be really good in showing me the differences in sounds between the switches!

Hi. I got my Keychron K6 two weeks ago. It's my first mech, so it's bare bones (non-hot swappable, no aluminum). Opted for the Brown switches for typing tactility. However, while I like the thocc thocc sounds, I expected a little more resistance at each key press. If my understanding is right, I need Cherry MX Blacks in my next mech purchase (is that right?). Right now, I want to ask if there are springs I can buy to put under the keycaps, to at least increase the key press resistance (and what are these springs called, so I can Google them up).

Only happens with the YMDK keycap and it goes away when I put the original Keychron backspace back on. Is this a problem you had as well? @@SwitchandClickOfficial Thanks for your reply. It's a real bummer because it looks and feels fantastic otherwise, but right now I've got the Keychron backspace key on there which doesn't look great. I think it happens because these keycaps have a fairly steep incline around the edges and that makes it more cramped inside the keycaps. They Keychron keycaps are more straight up and down and therefore a bit more cavernous. I could be wrong though. But might have to invest in another set of keycaps - perhaps the OEM Thick PBT you've got for your K2...

Awesome review! I wonder if there's way to quickly switch between Fn keys and number keys? I use Excel a lot and F2 key is my friend. I'm kinda worried about it being mixed with number 2.

For all of the 65% layout people out there with illuminated switches - if you want Double shot PBT shine through keycaps that have the 1.75 shift, check out the taihao.

this could just be me, but when mine arrived it was extremely dry or sandy however you want to say it, the springs inside the gateron browns was making an unbearable sound, and there was bad keycap wobble. I orderd kailh box reds to switch out my browns, i also added the foam that came in the box and cut that and put it inside the keyboard, now its absoloutely perfect. So i reccommend the keyboard but not the gateron optical browns, the spring feedback may come with other switches but will go away if you replace the switches, And as someone who has recently tried linears, tactile and clicky switches for the first time, i prefer the linears, they are much smoother for typing and when gaming it makes it a better experience as i feel with tactile switches you are fighting against the bump and its also distracing. hope this helps at all.

I bought this keyboard and it arrived on May 22. After testing it and changing keycaps it has fully charged (May 23). I've been using it via Bluetooth with my computer. I use it while watching anime. I still haven't charged it yet (Jun 20). Too bad Windows won't show the remaining battery life.
The older keyboard I was using I need to charge within 48 hours, or the battery will die.

Bought this keyboard on your recommendation, so am wondering if you could help with an issue. While using this keyboard in Android/Windows mode, I can't seem to use the fn2 key to access the function keys. To overcome this I had to instead switch over the iOS/Mac mode and use the fn1 key to access said function keys. That said, the F5 and F6 keys aren't recognised as it seems to have been hardcoded to adjust the brightness level of the LEDs instead. Any ideas to go about this? Thanks.

  • @ProbablePrime

I use Sharp Keys, I set page up to END and page down to Delete. I very rarely use page up/down due to having a mouse with a scrollwheel so it made sense to rebind them. Only annoying part of sharp keys is having to reboot your computer after making changes. Otherwise sharpkeys is great!

@@SwitchandClickOfficial No worries, once I changed the page up/down keys all of my complaints on this keyboard vanished. Overall i was quite happy. Cleaning/Lubricating keys might be a good topic for you to cover at some point :). I hope you have a wonderful day.

I'm in doubt between this and the Royal Kludge RK61. The RK61 is cheaper, but it bothers me that I can't change switches without soldering. But the delivery of the K6 is so expensive for Brazil. I don't have much interest in personalizing, just change the keycaps, but I think that being able to change the switches increases the durability of the keyboard.
Is there any better than these, and hotswapable, in the same price range?
