Game 3 - can someone explain to me please how a crit without psychic terrain against raging bolt with +2 sp def ko’d the pokemon with 70% of it’s health bar, when in the previous round it only took 20% of the bar in psychic terrain?! The rng favour for the opponent in the last match was hurtful to watch.
@@mightymanofvalour8691 Yup works the same for def stat increases. Similarly, getting a crit also ignores your own stat reduction effect. Which is why a mon like Urshifu is so good. It's signature move bypasses the effects of Intimidate, Parting Shot. There are memes of people using scope lens with focus energy to get permanent crits on moves like Draco Meteor, making the sp atk reduction not matter.
@@AoyagiMei ok cool. Wasn’t aware of the strat re scope lens (other than trying to increase likelihood of crits), and that re lowered stats. But yes re Urshifu. He became my favourite Pokemon (probably) from SS days (dark type).
