the fact that the first guy saw the sneasler and said " yup i aint dealing with that shit " and forfieted . its like if your opponent has an unusal pokemon you know you are about to get in some tough shit
I don’t play much doubles so idk a lot but that Sneasler set is extremely common in Singles. I see and use it all the time. Most people that play OU singles already know what it’s gonna try and do
I was your top 8 opponent! It was 1 am when I was playing and I got a few game-throwing reads wrong but you played well and it was a great set nonetheless! I hope to play you again sometime :)
It's really funny seeing Wolfey call pokemon like sneasler and espathra "bad" or "unusual" despite their sheer power in singles. I know doubles is way different, but it still feels weird seeing him describe these pokemon like that. Can't wait to see him call Gliscor or Baxcalibur niche picks.
Ironically, you're right about Baxcalibur, it's quite niche. It was used a whole lot before, and it probably still is good thanks to Alolan Ninetales, but it's almost never used thanks to Flutter Mane's ridiculous presence. I don't think I've seen a single Gliscor anywhere, at any point. Just use Landorus-T
Im planting a comment here so i can get a notification when some dude whines about A. Him being like this to good single mons being "bad" or B. Goes in the way of he who shall not be named and accuses him of hacking
as a Draft League player, seeing Sneasler branded as an "unusual" Pokemon is very silly to me. the mystical world of vgc never fails to impress me, i love your stuff!
Wolfe just wanted to say thank you for everything you and your friends have done for the VGC fanbase. I have been watching your videos for several months now and not even realizing id been picking up tricks. Ive been making it into Master Ball tier on Violet consistently every season now learning from you and your friends.
Sneasler is insane, in terms of what it can do. Unburden, and the stuff that can allow it to work are insane, alongside Dire Claw just being the most sickening move to exist (50% chance to Poison, Sleep OR Paralyze), and synergy with Acrobatics as a Coverage option. and for Singles I've seen people use Big Nugget + Fling (which is 130 BP) to handle Gholdengo (who is REALLY relevant there due to blocking Rapid Spin and Defog at the same time, and being pretty strong itself.) Sneasler is just sickening as an Unburden user, with access to strong STAB and Coverage that FITS Unburden perfectly either from activating the Ability (Fling or Close Combat with White Herb) OR comboing with it nicely (Acrobatics).
I've recently fallen in love with Sneasler for being a funny out of nowhere sweaper using unburden and acrobatics, also for being a sissy cat weasel that thinks she's better than you and this made me happy to watch
This one's especially funny to me because I just recently re-watched your video covering the Legends Arceus tournament, in which you repeatedly dunked on Sneasler.
Wolfie this was such a good video!! I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the whole time :) it’s nice to see that sneasler is having success in the format
Wolfey showing up uo with an uncommon pokemon is like drag meets where if you see a car that doesn't look like it belongs there, you gotta run the other way- bc it's being driven by someone who has magnitudes more knowledge and tricks under that hood than anyone else and will absolutely embarrass you with no hesitation
I’ve been using Hisuian Sneasel with Eviolite and it’s felt amazing, inner focus make him fake out and intimidate proof with full hp and speed invest he feels bulky and hits hard for a support Pokémon with a fast taunt!
Can’t wait to see what you do to change the team for world, or just making an entirely new one once again. (If I can I challenge you to use a support Pokémon that people aren’t expecting)
Honestly, I only do like nuzlockes and stuff like that but I been watching enough Wolfey videos that I wanted to try competitive pokemon. All I want to say is, this is hard to learn, respect for building weird teams but highly effective for torunaments so far I seen in these videos.
I snooze through most of your match replays but your teambuilding sections are fucking incredibly helpful and informative. I'd take a lot more of videos just about that.
Hisuian Arcanine in Reg D: “Underplayed” Hisuian Arcanine in Reg E: *casually wins all four regionals so far* Amazing what a change to the rules and a bit of time does to the viability of a Pokémon.
@WolfeyVGC you could use a prankster Pokémon with swagger on the sneasler (which is holding a perish Berry to get rid of confusion) with the ability unburden to boost the speed, then use a move like acrobatics for a giant boost in damage
7:55 would sending Sneasler in the other slot here not absorb the toxic spikes before Regieleki hits the field? Or is that order determined by the speed of those being sent in?
For me this is proof that VGC isn't made worse by the fact that it's dominated by the same few mons, or whatever the criticism du jour is. I'm not pretending to be close to the caliber of player Wolfe is (my showdown elo is like 1100 lol) but I made a sneaseler team that's SO different. Focus sash poison touch with shed tail orthworm for support. Practically different pokemon at that point.
4:45 knocking off scarf to slow down urshifu in order to ko flutter was an amazing play holy hell
Honestly 200iq play, so much fun to see something like that
Things like that make Pokémon really fun
It was something so obviously you can do and no complicated mechanics but this is probably the first time I've seen this play.
That blows my mind.
world champ difference
Fr
That self knock off to instantly change speed tiers is unironically the world champ diff!
babe wake up new wolfey vid
This is insane

the fact that the first guy saw the sneasler and said " yup i aint dealing with that shit " and forfieted . its like if your opponent has an unusal pokemon you know you are about to get in some tough shit
He knew and predicted the sneasler massacre so he bailed out immediately to avoid any mental and emotional trauma
He probably thought it had dire claw and was going to get beaten by rng
@vincentdempsey1009 do you mean rng?
I don’t play much doubles so idk a lot but that Sneasler set is extremely common in Singles. I see and use it all the time. Most people that play OU singles already know what it’s gonna try and do
Or more likely he made a bad team that gets 4-0ed by a single Pokémon
I was your top 8 opponent! It was 1 am when I was playing and I got a few game-throwing reads wrong but you played well and it was a great set nonetheless! I hope to play you again sometime :)

Woah, that knock off into Urshifu was a great play!
World champion diff as he would say
You can *feel* the capitals every time "The Sneasler" gets mentioned
i love how everyone just calls it The Sneasler like its the grinch or something
This is how it feels with a lot of tournaments. Hit them with something they don’t see coming! (Great thumbnail art btw)
Nice a gw2 fan
@@marshspyyo I’m a GW2 fan as well

He already use gliscor before
Gliscor's pretty weak in doubles coz he gets his value through spamming protect and can thus be ignored
Gliscors biggest problem by far is urshifu.
Im planting a comment here so i can get a notification when some dude whines about A. Him being like this to good single mons being "bad" or B. Goes in the way of he who shall not be named and accuses him of hacking
I really like these videos where you explain the turns and your thought process. Also, that ending was great.
4:57 Knocking off your own urshifu to slow it down in trick room is the most chad play I have ever seen
I love how both Wolfie and PM7 agree it's THE Sneasler.
as a Draft League player, seeing Sneasler branded as an "unusual" Pokemon is very silly to me. the mystical world of vgc never fails to impress me, i love your stuff!
Bowling VGC I'm laughing so hard, but it's fitting with how Wolfey rolls everyone
Hearing hisuian arcanine labelled as lesser used is so funny nowadays, pre worlds reg d was a ride
Rillaboom knock off on urshifu during trickroom is a big brain move 👍
Using knock off on yourself is a genius move I’ve never seen before
Wolfey looked at sneasler and said: “I can fix her”
thanks for introducing competitive pokemon to me, got me hooked to team building and trying new decks in showdown!
I love how your editor is clearly and consistently an ace attorney fan. Great music choices all around, AA has some of the most banger OSTs
I rewatched RTGame's perspective of the Legends Arceus tourney recently so seeing The Sneasler getting more VGC use is nice 😂
Every ursaluna I have is named big bertha in honour of his win
I like how he calls Sneasler "The" Sneasler and no title for the rest of the pkm

My new favorite Wolfe quote “in life, you are either are the Sneaseler or you get sneaseled.”
This one's especially funny to me because I just recently re-watched your video covering the Legends Arceus tournament, in which you repeatedly dunked on Sneasler.
More small tourney videos with off-meta mons please! Theyre so fun and entertaining to watch especially at a world-class level
Wolfie this was such a good video!! I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the whole time :) it’s nice to see that sneasler is having success in the format

Very happy to see the sneasler doing well. I know it's a divisive design but I love it.
Its cute how he refers to sneasler as "The Sneasler" whenever it comes into battle.
This sneasler reminds me alot of hawlucha, flying gem acrobatic unburden was a major threat and I'm viewing this sneasler as a spiritual successor
Damn that was some really impressive battling!! Kudos to you and the other finalist
5:03 That is smart and something that would catch anyone off guard
Knock off on your own mon to win is actually wild next level
Before I even watch the rest: terrific thumbnail. Been waiting to watch this all day 🤩
I enjoyed this, fast and entertaining. Had me glued

Pleasure to have you in our tournament series MausTour!
the thumbnail art goes crazy!
Big fan of that!!
Idk who does ur thumbnails, but they’re amazing, I needa see more art
opening with Jamie's theme from SF6 was an excellent music choice
I'm addicted to your tournament videos
Great vid bowlingVGC!
Yoooo the knock off onto YOUR OWN pokemon was next level imo I’d have never thought of that myself
The Sneasler in the thumbnail is just perfect.
Wolfey I love your content of tournaments!! Pls never stop you are the best literally!!🎉
The thumbnails are so good! Keep it up!

Cool!
After I saw Sneasler in the thumbnail I was very happy cause I have used that thing for multiple months and was excited to see you use it.
I love the bowlingvgc name idea lol. I love bowling as a competitive sport and I love watching Pokémon and your vids.
Can’t wait to see what you do to change the team for world, or just making an entirely new one once again. (If I can I challenge you to use a support Pokémon that people aren’t expecting)
Out of the tournament walks, on two legs, walks, a full fledged mean girl bully pop star. A cheerleader with a side ponytail and a fresh manny.
Great as always!

That Amoonguss in the thumbnail is making me laugh. Me too, buddy. Me too.
Appreciate the SF6 soundtrack use, Jamies music is banging
Are you making a worlds vid? After the controversy I didn’t if you would. Love the content btw
competitive Pokémon videos are the best sleep aide
I love so much how every Pokémon is called by name except THE SNEASLER! She’s got her own title!
I'm surprised no one is mentioning the Celeste music during the "round 6" Chapter.
Love your stuff Wolfe

Hisuian Arcanine in Reg E: *casually wins all four regionals so far*
Amazing what a change to the rules and a bit of time does to the viability of a Pokémon.
My jaw dropped when he knock offed his own urshifu. A play only a true world champ would make.
Not nicknaming Sneasler to "The Sneasler" was a terribly missed opportunity
Self knock off is crazy good omg
The legend himself
That knock off surging strikes play is called the world champ difference, that's genius
so happy my speedy boi is getting some recognition from the world champ
what if you wanted to win a tournament, but your opponent said *"that just means the sneasler comes in for free"*
In life you’re either the Sneasler or you’re the Sneasled
loving the use of mario galaxy music in this one big kudos to the editor eheh

Perhaps and probably similar with weather war.
I’ve heard Sneasler be called “twink Urshifu”. Absolutely not surprised by their performance lol
I find it funny how Wolfe refers to every pokemon normally but Sneasler is always refered to as "The Sneasler" 😂
it’s like a title
I was reading so many comments, I really thought no one noticed
Does your editor play SF6? I noticed a lot of the character themes being used as background music very dope!
I'm terrible at fighting games actually LOL but I found the OST and there's so much good music I just had to use it :)
love your vidz and love the world champ difference
Really great job
"Why so poisonous..."

Wolfey is the king of unusual Pokémon
love the SF6 music wolfy good job
Genius level intellect knocking off your own scarf to lessen your speed which makes you faster
love how markus signed wolfey up for a tournament just to stress him into making a worlds team lmao
I wish i watched more of the last worlds, I'll definitely watch this one!
