This is really good video. I will be saving it to watch again as I have a pattern that I need to adjust using this technique. Thank you - your video instruction is excellent.
I've saved this for later. I'm a very busty F cup and this is a constant problem, buying ready to wear that has darts never looks good and I also avoid patterns that have bust darts as I cant get them to fit. Be lovely to get the hang of this and shape clothes properly to fit my bust.
Thank you so much, this will help immensely! Also, who the heck has their apex up there? Are you perhaps tall like me? Well anyway, great explaining, thank you.
I've always had to alter the bust darts as I am long in the body only now I'm older I have to drop them a bit more!! Because the waistline on patterns is too high for me, I generally find that if I just cut across the pattern above the dart and move the whole thing down, then the waist is in the right place as well and I just have to shorten if necessary below the waist. Ready made dresses with a bust dart and waist seam never fit.
Well, think of mens shirts...they don't have darts right. You don't have to have darts if you don't need them. You can omit them or make them very shallow and alter the side seam. We have a Small bust adjustment video coming soon too.
Great video

Sounds like a good plan.
What if you don’t have a bust to fill the space? This is my problem 🙂
