it didnt solve anything. It just was going through a bunch of algorithms DESIGNED to solve a SPECIFIC problem. Give that same robot a different kind of puzzle and it would just sit there and spin its little hands doing nothing useful. Everyone is all giddy thinking someone will finally make a REAL robot that can learn a new language in a week and be able to solve complex problems only a computer could solve as well as write a symphony and create another robot from scratch etc. Keep waiting. We won't be around long enough for that to happen.

The intent isn’t to make robots replace those things that make us human; rather it is to use them to automate those things that are necessary but are either dangerous or monotonous.
Use robots to free humans to do more human things (like creatively ad libbing a smokin’ solo)
These developments in robots I feel are dangerous when A.I. is added to these devices and an added Bluetooth system attached to it's computer system makes for a danger to human beings

I ONLY HOPE THEY CONSIDER ALL THE DANGERS INVOLVED.
That will be something that will come with challenges along the way as with anything new. A few people would first die till they smooth out it’s functionality. But they will probably take the robit off the road say a sorry and say it won’t happen in the future anymore etc etc pater bring it back with a promise it was improved. And those lives and their families loss will be like oh well it was a sacthat had to be made for future advancements. Crazy world we live in.

There are many more better versions now in 2023. All the examples shown here are old technology. Boston Dynamics Atlas, Spot, etc and Tesla bot are not here...
Showing robots like that on the front page it's extremely misleading, I don't know how you are able to get away with that. none of the robots in the video come close to resembling the ones that you're showing to get people to watch it.

I guess i will be the wrench in the mix, the hard sell is always how these technologies will benefit disabled humans. However the true market is for the military industrial complex, the benefits for killing are endless right. There are already AI who are patrolling borders, example, Sth Korea & more but the really scary ones are those who can build or rebuild other AI, this is an unchecked insanity. @Tech Flick, please show videos that point out the kill switch.

that guinness world record is either fake or the wording was done wrong by mistake but it is not valid either way, it states that the fastest robot solved a rubik's cube, it does not state that a robot has solved a rubik's cube the fastest, if that was my record i would have had that corrected very quickly.
