Neo looks like a person in a Robot suit with a mechanical hand stuck onto the end of each arm. Assuming it is really a robot, it looks very advanced and human-like in all of its movements. But the phrase "fake it till you make it" comes to mind whenever I see it. They ought to show it operating without its robot suit just to allay the reservations of skeptics like me.

      @zSion 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@vulpo It is a robot but in most cases where it looks humanlike, it's because it's being tele operated by a human. It can still do stuff without tele operation but not to the same realistic degree

I have noticed that all these Robots have a similar theme behind them, Aka slow and steady.
now I don't mean that Robots should do things very fast, but the fact that all these Robots do things slowly, may it be walking or just doing a task, makes me wonder if the Ai itself in them is not fast enough to be able to perform fast actions, hence the slow moments.

I love the advancement in robotics and find it fascinating. Sadly most people, at least here in the US, will never have access to any of these robots because our economy is such, that robots are going to take jobs away from humans, so the wealthy can make more money. Because of people like Musk, we will never have a world where people can explore their interests and do what they enjoy. It is bitter sweet to see these videos on technology advancements, as it is just a way for the rich to become more rich and the rest of us to fight over crumbs..

However, seeing as an adult cow can feed four families per year, and a Horse is relatively the same size as cow. I'd say the horses upgraded if they went from a slave labor for, to only a handful getting eaten.
That's assuming they actually ate the horses as you claim.
More probably died in working hazard accidents than were eaten. Evidenced in the fact that they were eaten. Indicating their population was too high & could stand to be culled.

Ugh, they show it doing some of the easiest tasks and fumbling with that, then they show it walking down the center of the road, since it wouldn't be able to handle a complex environment of obstacles. In their current form and level of functionality, they are absolutely useless to the average person or business.
They also exaggerate capabilities. Like Isaac folding clothes but they don't show it. Even if they did it would probably just show it folding an article of clothing (if not an easy towel) that was already spread and laid out for it. Not get a pile of clothing out of the machine and pull individual pieces from the pile and then proceed to fold and stack them.

I am disabled, and I excited about humanoid robots primarily as assistive devices. Each of the leading companies offer something different with their approach, I wonder which one will be used for that use-case first.

Some of those I wouldn't classify as "humanoid." Also, you left out Unitree's H1/G1. They're much more of a legitimate player than some of the ones you mentioned.

Less so than you might think. The $16k version apparently can't be programmed. It's pretty useless. The EDU version apparently can be, but it's listing for $32k and I haven't heard of them actually being available yet.
Yeah I was excited too, but apparently they're not as far along as they're claiming to be. :S

Nice video, but the periodic stress usually before a pause was a little distracting and hindered the flow of the narrative. Imho. But other than that. 👍🏻

It's not good when the humanoids are turning into a phone-like option. Why not just make one brand robot and multiple models but with the godlike specs like durability, technology and 1 year of battery life so it doesn't damage the Earth too much. 😂🎉

This is the point, there would be no way to earn the living. And no one cares. Peoples will be left unemployed, homeless, hopeless and starving to death on streets.

13:25 is this a joke? If i was to make a Top 10... and there were only ten robots IN THE WORLD... i still wouldn't put that *muppet* on the list. It is pathetic and an insult to robotics.
The movement is below a DYI project, the thing is constantly remote controlled (they even use headsets for it to "talk"), and its so called autonomy is pre-recorded. It CANT stand up when pushed over. It cant take a step on stairs. It shuffles everywhere. Two of them glitched out during the "robotaxi" event (seriously, look closely at the dancers at the end of the routines - they even had to lower the curtains to hide the glitches) and overall ANY demo ever shown proved to be a FRAUD. Heck, it was on a robot expo and BEHIND GLASS since it couldn't do jack sht IRL.

Robots are very slow. I don't know how they will be very helpful to society. I haven't heard or read yet about this issue. As robots become more able to walk, talk, and move at a pace closer to being human, I know I will fear them.
