      Neo looks like a person in a Robot suit with a mechanical hand stuck onto the end of each arm. Assuming it is really a robot, it looks very advanced and human-like in all of its movements. But the phrase "fake it till you make it" comes to mind whenever I see it. They ought to show it operating without its robot suit just to allay the reservations of skeptics like me.

    • @zSion
      @zSion หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @vulpo It is a robot but in most cases where it looks humanlike, it's because it's being tele operated by a human. It can still do stuff without tele operation but not to the same realistic degree

    Ugh, they show it doing some of the easiest tasks and fumbling with that, then they show it walking down the center of the road, since it wouldn't be able to handle a complex environment of obstacles. In their current form and level of functionality, they are absolutely useless to the average person or business.
    They also exaggerate capabilities. Like Isaac folding clothes but they don't show it. Even if they did it would probably just show it folding an article of clothing (if not an easy towel) that was already spread and laid out for it. Not get a pile of clothing out of the machine and pull individual pieces from the pile and then proceed to fold and stack them.

      However, seeing as an adult cow can feed four families per year, and a Horse is relatively the same size as cow. I'd say the horses upgraded if they went from a slave labor for, to only a handful getting eaten.
      That's assuming they actually ate the horses as you claim.
      More probably died in working hazard accidents than were eaten. Evidenced in the fact that they were eaten. Indicating their population was too high & could stand to be culled.

    Didn’t anyone watch iRobot? I think they’re moving a bit too quick. They need to focus on cybersecurity and safeguards. Once they integrate AI into everything it will take another form. Someone could be developing a malicious AI that can overtake and control these creations… There also needs to be more policy and accountability that hold the creators accountable if something were to go wrong.

    The robot revolution WILL come, its inevitable. Luckily there are only two companies that you have to focus on - that is Hyunday (they own 80 % of Boston Danamics) and obviously TESLA.
    Very soon everyone on the planet will want his own robot to do endless task, of even just be a companion.
    Invest in these now, and you be invested in changing the world FOREVER. This is way bigger than the Internet or the IPhone... imagine you where able to invest in the ENTIRE AUTO industry in the year 1910!

    So like, would it be possible to send some of these guys off to mars to make oxygen rooms and farms and stuff? There was a movie (probably several) where this was tried by humans, but they all failed because humans have basic needs that a robot wouldn't.

    Yet we forget that the main driver of progress is the military. Need should force the military to create a quality anthropomorphic robot, and the market economy will make it cheaper and more suitable for civilian use. You may be mistaken that nothing will ever be cheaper than a person and his death. But in modern society, the continuous growth of egoism and awareness of globalization, dictatorships and countries with a low standard of living and education have a huge advantage in the difference in the value of life. The population of developed countries would rather choose to leave the country than risk their precious lives. Europeans will fly to America, Americans will fly to Europe if a war breaks out.
    The modern world really needs "autonomous warfare" to defend itself from immature regimes. Ideally, to defend itself preventively. Now it is a huge political risk to send your soldiers to die for future economic stability. It will be much easier to send drones, air and ground, to protect democracy. (If you live in a democracy, you have no right to ridicule the defense of democracy. You have freedom of speech to criticize. But don't dare force others to live in a non-democracy.)

    AIbots are going to be a boon to small businesses. They are not taking jobs but rather amplifying what we can get done. I can cut a tree faster with a chainsaw faster than a handsaw faster than an axe faster than a stone edge.
    Humanoid robots and AGI mean that I ndividuals can start a business without all the headaches, drama, liabilities and costs of employees. I look forward to AIbots to help me farm, in my butchershop, construction and forestry. Quite importantly, AIbots can do self maintenance and repair as well as that on other equipment.
    On the non-robotic side, AI in bookkeeping, legal, customer service will also be great.
    I like working. I like doing things. I create. I need some help. I do not like having employees - way too much drama. At $20k and I will take one right away. $15k? I will take two or three. $10k as one pundit quotes? Wow! Yes! Tractors cost $50k to $250k. Big iron. Other tools I have cost $5k to $90k. I would much rather be empowered by a tool than having to rely on and deal with employee drama. Let people start their own businesses. AI gives them that leverage.
