When you do your "Best of" lists, I think it would be cool to do a Barrel King dedicated list of the blends from that year and have that as its own separate thing.
Matt, your whisper shouting is phenomenal and top notch 👌! I’ve heard quite a bit in my day (total of 2), and yours is the best by far 💪💪. Keep up the great work brother and good luck at the in-laws 🤣🫶💪
Hey Matt! Virtually perfect whisper shout. Gonna get both 89 and 90 and probably a backup of “Wheatish Fish”. So very happy you turned me on to Barrel King.
Would love to delve into the deliciousness, but $125 per plus shipping and any applicable taxes (so about $150 total) for a year is $1,800. That’s a pretty big share of one’s bourbon budget. I’m not aiming to be antagonistic or *itchy, but from a business standpoint would Barrel King rather have say four purchases from me in a year - or none, because those are really my only two options. “Life” makes a membership for me not possible, especially if I want to enjoy other quality bourbons. So instead of spending $600 total (shipping and taxes added) per year on four purchases of Barrel King, I spend zero on the brand. Which would Barrel King rather have? I know this isn’t an exact apples to apples comparison, but with Seelbach’s there is the opportunity to subscribe to a membership AND/OR to make separate individual purchases. Seems like it’s working for them, and I purchase from them a decent amount. Just something to ponder. Love the channel and Matt is a blast!! Thanks for all the entertainment enjoyed and knowledge imparted.
BK Gold is not for everyone, and that is understandable. Problems arise if people are are allowed to pick & choose which release months they want, because that's really not fair to those who are in it for the long haul. Perhaps they may one day allow non member purchases once bottles are available to members for 2 months, but doubtful, because they don't last that long. Once you've tried their stuff, you'll wonder why you waited so long.
Well, it's not a contract, so you can sub for 1 month to get what you want and cancel til another release comes along. Just look at it like $150 bottle purchase. Steep yes, but worth it!
Barrel King member here. Definitely worth the price every month. I appreciate these previews of the upcoming releases so I can make choices if there is more than one being released. Thanks Matt.
Why would people get mad that you're making videos about Burger/Barrel King? I don't have a subscription to it but I still like watching the videos and learning about you making chicken salad from chicken sh!t...
One thing I will never do - like or fully watch a ADHD Whiskey review of Barrel King. Just reframe these videos to be informational instead of a review and tasting notes video. That is marketing - that is not what I want to watch. I'm glad Matt landed the job, I'm glad he is working in an industry he likes with people he likes. It does strongly detract from his creditability as a YT reviewer simply because the amount of politics and bias it injects into his content. Even if he doesn't think it will. That's one reason why I was glad the Whiskey Tribe moved towards doing more educational or distillery based content instead of spending much time discussing other brands.
Honey finish? What’s next, strawberry preserves finish? Seriously, this is just a sugar additive. All honey producers prefer airtight glass jar. Someone is going to get sick one day when mold forms in a honey barrel gone bad. I’m all for creativity, but I don’t know on this one.
Alcohol is a disinfectant…and people have been using honey barrels for finishing for years. Using honey barrels is no different from wine, sherry, etc.
@@spicywater761 with the right conditions, honey will mold. It’s far from wine, sherry is fortified wine. This is arts n crafts adding food. Is there a mega with honey finish?
You believe this is the first time someone has finished alcohol in a honey (or similar) barrel? What about large production places that do it with WAY more barrels than what BK used? I’m just surprised at the new concern when BK does it but not before.
@@OneWD_CRI’m just calling out NDP on this finish because it really is just an additive. Just like how tequila got called out on additives. Name a mega distillery with a honey finish. The ones with honey additives like Wild Turkey Honey sit on the shelf as a flavored spirit with Fireball and such likes.

Based on the Barrel King bottles I have tried, I get your enthusiasm. Also, based on my experiences being the only one awake, I get your subdued-ness
I just outnumbered my NBC collection by another 2 barrel king batches 😊
Love the whisper shout Matt! Just got the Stagglee and excited! Cheers man 🥃
I always look forward to the tasting videos, and even more to my BK monthly delivery! Keep up the good work, and Cheers from a fellow YOOPER!

You videos make me so happy…

Easily the best whisper shouter in the world. Great review of the new batches and cannot wait to order them both.
Thanks for the info Matt. Wheatish Fish is a stunner so thanks for that too!
Here for the whiskey whisper scream! Love it!
Peeps are really getting upset about the BK posts? That’s unfortunate and silly.

@@Dragon_Spirits Problem with that is you keep getting kicked to the bottom of the list, and you may not get the bottle you're hoping for.
@@grndhog66 Good point!
As long as the prices don’t increase, I think the addition of 11 year bourbon makes the $125+ price tag more reasonable
Do you have to become a member on their website in order to buy bottles of whiskey?
My family is from the UP. Please bring me down some Dobbers Pasties. Thanks
Great whisper shout!

The Whiskey Whisperererer!😅
In God's Country!! Good stuff fellow Yooper.
Pass
I am heading to Esky on the 12th. Can I pick up Barrel King there?
BK is in Bourbon, MO, they do not have any retailers elsewhere.
Awesome!
I joined Barrel King and said Bob Glass sent me. I loved those samples.
Stagger Lee!

Went online, looks like you have to join a club to buy it, sorry, I’m out.

you've turned into a barrel king commercial. very disappointing.
Shhhh😂

Bro there are countless honey barrel finishes out there as we speak. No issues have been encountered yet so
