Loved this video! When you told me several years ago that I was a soft low contrast, that gave me permission to not rely on black. Thank you. Another huge clue was my favorite camel coat I purchased many, many years ago. I put that on and bingo I feel magical. Great advice ❤❤❤
This was fun! At 67 years, My hair is the lightest blonde- 95% (of a white blonde/slight platinum-ish) with some dark black 5% ish lightly peppered throughout the underneath. Eyes are Olive green, each with an aqua, gold, and dark brown ring in them. Light skin tone now (used to be olive, when young). My best palette would be Oyster-white, Olive green, and Black. Navy for a second dark neutral and add pale khaki-gold as a second light neutral. Best Accent color is aqua.
I tried the image color picker you linked in the description. It’s a very cool tool! I tried it with 2 OOTD pics. It came up with different palettes but there were several colors that were very similar. I think these would be my neutrals. I plan to play with it more. Thanks.
I took 3 photos for the color picles and all are almost the same pallete, including my extreme close up eye picture. I am cool summer, but in the first 2 photos, the site show me black first. I don’t really like black for me, but this is intersting. And really like the ideia it a light, médium and dark neutral, makes a lof ofende, I going to try this.
I believe there are a couple caveats needed here, especially for “older” women. 1. If a mature woman whitens her teeth to be so much whiter than the white in her eyes, it throws off the harmony of a complexion that has just naturally become more muted with aging. More importantly, too-white teeth become the facial focus instead of one’s eyes. I have seen this again and again. 2. The same goes for coloring one’s hair to hide the gray. I think it’s more flattering for older women to soften their “natural” color and not return to the color of their youth. In addition, in my own case (being a classic winter ~ and I had my colors done back in the 80s!), I came to realize that the bright colors of my youthful wardrobe now overpower my “new” coloring. Even my former bright blue eyes are now not quite so bright (sad face!) and are better showcased when I wear lighter versions of a clear blue palette (no more electric blue for me). I also transitioned away from black completely ~ the fact is my more subdued eye and complexion coloring became even more drained by black, without that youthful contrasting “pop” I once prized.
I would suggest that you ladies try yellow especially if you have darker skin like me. I get the most compliments. Also, with my skin color I find that cream/tan monochrome is lovely.
It's fabulous that you found your WOW color. Yellow is one of the hardest to get right because different shades work on different people, but when you find your shade, wow! It's also a hot color this year so hopefully you will be able to find it easily!
Nada.. My natural hair color is dark brown. I have it highlighted to blonde shades. There is grey but it never shows. It's a bit lighter than Jennifer Anniston. My eyes are brown and I usually wear a coral color lipstick. I am 75. What are my colors? I do love rusty browns and off whites. I own a lot of navy. My pants are all black, jean colors, ivory and one brown pair. Love this video.
liked video about wearing clothes wrong, can you do a video fro blazers in 2024 or maybe you already have one?? what about wearing nice work pants slacks with different blazers or jeans to look business casual?
What is your neutral if your natural hair color is very dark brown, but you have been a bottle blonde for a decade due to early graying? My natural coloring is like Sandra Bullock, but I'm blonde.
Thanks for the comment. If you know your hair and eye color, this system will work for you. More to do with those characteristics than with ethnicity, which is why an Egyptian woman like me can be in the same category as Sandra Bullock

Have FUN! Sometimes for the eyes you want a blown up picture of just the eyes so it can find the color!

Agree on all of these points! Our coloring does soften with age and we need adjust our palettes accordingly! Great points. Thank you!
All great points! Thanks for sharing.

Does "warm" skin play a role? Hellen. M's skin in that pic. looked pretty warm to me - thanks for the videos!
Thank you for saying you can scan a store and see if there is anything for you. I do this and can walk in and out of a store quickly.
