I’m just thinking how strategic it is to start advertising the season w ep8. Alice has always been careful to let you know Charlie will be ok when it gets very heavy and I appreciate that this is how they do it for the show.
I know it almost seems like a spoiler, but knowing Nick and Charlie will always be ok gives their journey so much more joy for me. ❤❤

There is a Netflix trilogy that people often forget: the award-winning third one, the reboot of the Australian “Heartbreak High”. Season 2 comes on April 11, which is a lovely filler between Young Royals and Heartstoppers. The trailer is on TH-cam.
Has a lot of queer people in it. This Australian series has a more comic stream, making its school love triangles, etc, comically rather than more serious than the other two.

I knew I could count on you to react to this snippet of joy they gave us! I saw the scars instantly and cried immediately! Darcy’s hair is amazing and I love they are letting their personality show (bet mom hates it, haha). It’s going to be such a moving, emotional, important and amazing season. Each season gives us more and more and reaches more and more! If you are LGBTQIA+, surviving ED and mental health, been or being bullied, misunderstood, bad family life…so much representation! I feel like everyone can be seen in this universe and that’s what makes Alice and this cast and crew so special and important. 194 days is a long wait, but well worth every day!
Also, I agree with you about why they pushed the dates back. If Alice just started writing book 6, they’ll need time to finish it and write the script. Then start filming season 4 (please Netflix, we need a season 4 and Alice and the cast deserve it) to release in late 2025 (again…please Netflix!!!) guess I’ll watch season 1 and 2 and read all the books for the next 194 days…(like that isn’t what I’d be doing anyway!) ❤Kristen

I wonder if Tobie wasn’t asked to hold back on posting the behind-the-scenes vlogs for season two until closer to season three. Not that we need encouragement to watch season three when it comes, but for some people it might help whet their appetite for another season.

I'm so excited. I wasn't expecting a teaser to be released and this was so nice to wake up to. I can't wait for October for more Nick and Charlie.
I think they're doing full on sexual content from Volume 5. Alice has said in her statement accompanying this release that these kids are growing up now and are doing growing things like university and sex. So yeah I don't think anything will be left for a potential season 4 from the 2 books, volume 4 and 5. Oh, plus they're includin at least one mini-comic with Jonathan Bailey's casting.
stuff will happen as it does in the books, but it will be treated with subtlety considering the age range of some of the audience.
If you look back through it Jackie, you'll notice Charlie sitting in Nick's lap :)

Some great hopes. Thanx, JRL. In an interview Joe talked about S3 as “raunchier” than S2. Kit now describing S3e8 as “steamy.” Cant wait to seehow theshow develops. And, I amthinking that the dramatic arc almost demands a S4.
Ive seen some tea about S3 being more sexy. I imagine, however, that the show will thread that needle and still remain Heartstopper.

I noticed the scars on Charlie’s arm too. It saddens me about what he went through, but I’m glad he’s become a lot happier. That really gets to me because there were times in my teen years where I tried to cut myself.

This teaser is great! The wait is long, but what you said about Alice having time to work on the final volume makes that understandable. This has been one surprising week!! Also got to see Sweeney Todd this past weekend and Kit and Tobie were right across from me and my friends. The show was amazing!!
I'm so excited for season 3, and I'm DELIGHTED that we're apparently going to get more of Torie, whom I absolutely adore! I cried my EYES out during the season 2 finale (Nick kissing Charlie's forehead nearly destroyed me), and as much as I loved season 1, I came away from season 2 thinking it was even better. Kudos to this ENTIRE cast of brilliant young actors, who have completely stolen this old man's heart.

Beach Day, ILY, Nick's trip to Mallorca, new school year, Charlie's struggles, 'This Winter' during the holidays, NYE party, Charlie's birthday, 'sexual tension', Uni trip, Summer Fête, sleepover. Somewhere in there it looks like we're getting the Henry (Jack) Maddox mini-comic, which was Tao's gift for Charlie, and they'll obviously add more stuff about the other characters, too. I feel like this is a lot to fit into one season. If we get a fourth season, I guess it would be based on whatever Alice writes for book six, plus the N&C novella.
@@graphiquejack it would be nice if they made the episodes more than 20-25 minutes. They could explore these things a bit more. Unfortunately I think to make that time jump (assuming we’re correct), they’d have to trim down a lot to give the proper focus to Charlie’s issues especially. We’ll see I guess. I honestly almost can’t contain myself.

So I found 12 copies at a store 2 minutes from my house lol (they have just been sitting there for months waiting for me ugh!) ... I LOVE Alice's writing volume 5 was handled so perfectly... it is like she gives the characters space to breathe, space to feel, space to grow.. idk it is like the story is so beautifully crafted that I can read the room... and the room is the Osemanverse... maybe that is just Alice's vibe... it is just so perfect. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

We actually probably won’t be getting that iconic ace moment with Tori on the Ferris Wheel… yet! Alice confirmed on Tumblr yesterday that Tori won’t be coming out this season, and that her self-discovery journey has been elongated. Most of it will be covered in S4 if they get one. The conversation with Charlie in this scene has been tweaked to be more relevant to the story of S3 and Tori and Charlie’s relationship. My guess is that it will be something like the talks they have in Solitaire about letting other people in and being vulnerable.
It's a lot of work for Alice and for all the people at Netflix working on the series.
October feels like a lifetime away rn but I'd rather they took their time to ensure a consistently high standard.
I've fallen in love completely with Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson. I love Elle too and Tao... They are all such amazing and talented people and what they have as a Heartstopper family is simply beautiful. Not many cast and crew develop what they have. The only other strong friendships I've grown fond of is Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins and Jared Padelecki. I'm in full support of the LGBTQ+ And I enjoy writing gay fiction, so one day I'm hoping to see my own work out there... My dream is for it to be on TV... Lol. ❤❤😅

I was wondering why it's so far out because the timeline was the same like as S2, wrapped in December. Announcement in March. Release in August. I was like why the extra two months. Then you said giving Alice time and I was like, yeah you're right. Makes so much sense. But then I'm like you shouldn't have said anything until like May lol. Now we have to wait 7 months haha
I kind of doubt Netflix would consider Alice’s schedule like that tbh, it’s probably more about them just spacing out their releases to keep people subscribing. It’s also only 1-2 months later at most. And they wrapped a week or two later this time!

@@kertveira Yeah I just don’t think they’re particularly considerate or generous with their creators or would prioritize Alice’s preferred writing schedule, they ultimately just want to make money! Also it won’t be possible for Alice to finish volume 6 before a potential S4 begins production. They draw roughly a page a day, so even if they started today it would likely take them at least a year to complete. What she seems to be doing is what she did for vol 5, which is write all the dialogue and scene directions first, and then turn to drawing. Alice should have plenty of time to finish writing before getting into S4 scripts (if they’re renewed). They’ve said if they are renewed, she’ll be working on scripts later this year.

I don’t think there will be a season 4. I think stuff we will see in book vol. 6 will be things that will happen in season 3 of the show.
if the fête is in episode 8 of season 3, that's near the end of book 5. If we get a season 4, it would be book 6 + the Nick and Charlie novella. Unless they also move some plot points around, like how the moved Nick's coming out dinner to season 2 when it's the ending of book 4.
Alice has already said she would need 4 seasons to tell the full story. She’s explained clearly that season 3 is vol 4 and 5 and This Winter and that season 4 would be Vol 6 and Nick and Charlie. Stop making up your own narrative 😂

The Kit Connor “Bi” Drama in 3 easy steps. 1. The role of Nick Nelson never went to open casting unlike other parts. He gets an in road as he has an agent and has done loads of TV before. He looks nothing like the character, but they can’t have a whole cast of novices. He acknowledges (Guardian interview) that he knew the show-runners wanted to cast authentically and were going to say so. Plenty of actors would not apply because of this, but he knows the part will make him. 2. Essentially, therefore, accepting the part has either “outed” him as bi or made the show runners look like liars or he has misled in order to take the part. Logically, therefore, if you were actually bi, you would say it at this point. The other two alternatives are not great. The only reason why you would not do this is if you were not bi and just waiting for it all to “blow over” 3. To be honest, this might have worked. He kept his previous relationships with girls on the dl (poor Sof had to pretend to be his bf rather than gf, no PDAs etc) but the high profile relationship with Maia blew this out of the water. People then did say hang on, authentic casting? Was he honest when he took the part? Is this not disrespectful to the LGBTQ community? At this point, he clearly thought Oh shit, I could bring the whole show down and ruin my reputation just as I am taking off. There was then probably a chat with a publicist who told him to “reclaim the narrative” by saying he is bi and (as a plus) getting everyone’s sympathy (including loads of celebs) by claiming he was forced out. Win win. Quietly then 8 months later he admits that he wasn’t actually “forced out” Genuinely surprised that people can’t see that this is the only logical explanation. Just because a celeb makes a claim about themselves does not mean it is true. Some idiot on Twitter / X said “Kit Connor could literally marry a man and people would still say he is not bi” No chance of that happening.
