I just completed online parent questionnaire and it used “good eye contact”, which I think is judgemental. Would have much preferred to read ‘culturally appropriate eye contact’
and what exactly does your term mean? its ridiculous. Honestly stop looking for crap to complain about. My god lady its an assessment. Good eye contact is a UNIVERSAL term in behavior analysis. Its descriptive . Yes lets change the language just for you bc you're soooo easily offended.
One would think that parents are likely to appraise the quality of their child's eye contact in the context of their family's cultural background, without the explicit prompting that you're advocating for Also, it sounds like you're implicitly suggesting that "culturally appropriate eye contact" is not judgemental...?
@@jabwightman123very true - I mean, the original commenters criticism is ironic in that… the Vineland is judgemental…because it’s an assessment. We are casting judgement, against criteria for a diagnosis. So no matter how we phrase it, a judgement is being made.
