This is the first video I’ve seen from you, and GODDAMN if some scenes aren’t the most beautiful shots I’ve seen ever. The hazy bloomy sun, the blue waters behind. Especially at 5:58, made me miss my beach holiday so much. Subbed and a big fan! Also love the nanopresso lol.
A mate of mine brought his along on a high country hike we did a little while back. Those coffees were so good. Really made me think about getting one of these. Great review and demo.
For the place or traveler who can not leave coffee behind....i love this nanopresso...simple to use. If someone complain with piston....just think that you exercise your fingers...simple as that.
I got one of these little bad boys for my recent hikes and adventures up into Northern Territory late last year. It was a great addition to the kit. Also loved this video and other content you have mate. Just subscribed so keen to see more soon
My electricity is off today they are rewiring the building. And I have a gas stove so I boiled my water and made a cappuccino with my Nanopresso I have the DG (Dolce Gusto) pod kit. Great review.
When it's harder than usual to push(extract), it's because :1- you e using a commercial ground coffee and the size of coffee particles is too small for Wacaco. 2- You've filled the filter basket to the top. You need to leave a 2 -3mm space on the top
Glad you enjoyed it. I think that the only real reviews can be done on something you bought yourself and have used for years. I see a lot of "this was given to me and it's straight out of the box".
@@WakuahOutdoors I do believe you are right. Spending money you have worked for also makes a difference because if you were given something thats not special I think it means less. Are you still using the nano press?
Exactly. I also think when something is new and/or free it's extra exciting so you are less likely to notice flaws. I use it occasionally. I go through phases to be honest. Sometimes I use it every day and sometimes I'll prefer another method.
Sure. It's a military hexamine stove or esbit stove. I am using some hexamine tablets as fuel. Very cheap and lightweight. Easy to find from a military surplus store or on eBay.
Yeah I've used them a fair bit over the years. Light weight and cheap! They are called hexamine stoves. They use them for the military. You can pick them up from army surplus stores, camping stores or on eBay. The main down side is that the fuel tablets stink!
Loved the video. I’m doing the NC500 (Scottish cycle route, 50. Miles with mountains over 5 days) in the summer and camping would you recommend this product. Many thanks from rural Lincolnshire uk
If it's just for you and you are not in any sort of hurry, I would recommend it. It takes a fair bit of time to clean. But it is a great boost to have such a delicious coffee on a hard trek. You'll need to rinse it thoroughly after use so I never take it on a trip where water is scarce.
Yeah this is one of my favourite spots! The weather was amazing. It really is fiddly, I enjoy using if I have the time but it's never my first choice if I need a caffeine hit in a rush.
Nice bit of country to have a coffee. I like the idea of the device but not sure I'm keen on the fiddlyness of it. Had a good chuckle on your recommendation for a quicker cuppa lol
Sure. They are pretty common, I purchased this from an army surplus store. They are usually found in camping stores too. If you want to find one online you could try searching for "hexamine stove" on eBay or Amazon. I hope this helps.
Do I need to use hot water for expression shots to work or can I use cold water? I would like to make ice americano at work with this thing.. I like expresso shots with almond milk and stivia

Thank you! that means an awful lot. I really love this place.

Thanks! Easy to fault until you try the coffee. It's such a treat to have espresso on the trail.
Owned mine 2 years. Great porta-coffee

I agree! The pumping doesn't bother me, it's the washing up that gets tedious.
What a beautiful spot to have a coffee,... away from everyone and everything, Perfect!
Yeah I absolutely love it there

Glad you enjoyed the video. It doesn't seem worth the effort.... Until you taste that coffee!!! Really appreciate the sub ☺️

Nice! Its uses go far beyond camping. Thanks for watching ☕

I see. Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated :)
What a great place for a coffee!
Hello, thanks for making an honest review of a thing you worked for not given. Earned a like and hit the bell. Stay well sincerely GW👋👊

That little 10sec brew under pressure really made a difference
Yep I agree. I see a lot of people neglect that step.
@Reality Reviews excellent! I hope you enjoy it.
Please can you share the equipment you use to boil the water? Especially the base where you put the pot.

Mate this video is actually better than the one from the manufacturer 😂. Thanks!!
Thanks! Maybe I should ask them to pay me ☺️
Good review thx!
Much appreciated
Nice video, thank you!
Love the burner, what is it?

@@richardburrows8044 no worries. Enjoy your trip mate.
Cool device, seems fiddly but would just take getting used to it. Amazing location and weather.

Yeah unreal spot. It can get a bit cumbersome. Makes a good coffee but you have to work for it.
@@WakuahOutdoors Yeah that would be the kicker, a good coffee instead of instant that I usually take.
Hi! Love your video!! With what level do you grind your coffee beans? Would help a lot! Just ordered mine!☺️🤩
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it. I buy mine pre ground and to be honest I've never really checked on what level. Sorry can't help you there.
@@WakuahOutdoors thanks;)
Can you share with us where to buy the mini firepit?
Sure. They are pretty common, I purchased this from an army surplus store. They are usually found in camping stores too. If you want to find one online you could try searching for "hexamine stove" on eBay or Amazon. I hope this helps.
Does the water stay hot?
You'll need to add boiling water. It only takes less than a minute to push the shot through so it will come out hot.
would you like to review suv doorstep?
What's SUV doorstep?
How about capsule
I have not used the capsule attachment. I'm sure it would make it more convenient.
Do I need to use hot water for expression shots to work or can I use cold water? I would like to make ice americano at work with this thing.. I like expresso shots with almond milk and stivia
I don't think it works with cold water. If I wanted an iced coffee I'd make the shot hot and cool it down.
*Espresso
Crikey mate....................Ok video. The brush is for cleaning, and if you over pack the coffee you're going to get less extraction of the coffee.
Good to know. Thanks mate.
