Alright, so make sure you start with fresh coffee, and also grind it right before you brew (no preground). After that, play with the grind size to make sure it's not too fine or two coarse, but the main concern is probably freshness!
My favourite wacaco must be the nanopresso + barista kit, without the pressurised valve rubber. Super versatile little brewer, from nespresso pods, pressurised valve for coarser grinds to espresso! I 3D printed a dosing funnel for the double shot basket too
You can use any, if you want to make multiple just do a quick wipe for coffee grounds, and then back it up when you’re done and wash at home, just make sure you don’t let it sit too long or the coffee will mould
I am curious about those presses if they leak after use. I see no o-rings at some points? If i just a a coffee, in the video you quickly turn the nanopresso around (3 mins into vid). Does it keep pressing out coffee? Even just drops? Too bad you showed everything but this.
I turned the Nanopresso upside down to put it down after the brew is done, that’s how it stands up on the surface. I didn’t think there was much to show there. Without pressure it won’t press through
I love my nanopresso though I've started getting a pressure leak from the pump housing it self, Product is out of warranty so I'm going to be moving on to the GR2 since that looks like a nice upgrade. I would say that based on my passed experience with the nanopresso the device will be good for around 800-1000 cups before having issues (I've had 4 now and I'm perfectly happy with how long they last) I just wish there was a way to replace the seals on the nanopresso pump since thats always the part that fails on my devices ... except for the rev.1 device just after launch the polymer on those were not amazing and I cracked my first one about 3 month after purchase. I'd recommend the wocaco nanopresso to anyone trying to get away from your average burned instant coffee taste and getting into good jo. their warranty has been amazing for me and I must say that if you're like me making 3 cups a day since you just use it out of convenience then it'll last you quite a while and by the time it does die you'll be aching for something new anyway (From french press to dripping in my Chemex I must say the wacaco is a goto)
As I started a bicycle trip from europe in 2015 I bought one of the first Wakako mini pressos produced. They sold them months before delivery. I was happy with it as I started from france eastwards. After about 6 months, somewhere in Persia, the brewing quality started to decrease. The plastik components started to leak, it wasn't enjoyable at all. I contacted Wacaco a few times and could have visited them as I cycled through eastern China (where they are produced), but they never responded. I eventually discarded it in Chile, 4 years after purchase, but with only about 6 months of actual usage. 100 brews? There were several funny moments along the way, specially at bordercheckpoints. In Turkmenistan they thought it was a tube-bomb but luckily they let me demonstrate its use, to every ones amusement. I hope the newer models are better made than my version. Over all I was disappointed and considering my service experience with Wacaco I would not buy another one.
Thanks for your story, that sounds like such an amazing bike trip and I’m jealous! I would give it another try, from my experience, the products are very good and have had iterations over time. You bought one of the first units, but especially being a much smaller company at the time and having intricate parts to troubleshoot, they’ve made improvements over the years I’m sure. The customer service are typically really good and I’ve met the team during my time in China. Again, super cool you did that trip, do you have any visual from it documented anywhere?
Thank you for your reply. I am sure they would have improved their products since that time I bought mine but the costs of the newer versions are much higher too. No thanks. As for visuals of my trip: I have a gazillion of fotos, videos and stories (it was a 5 years trip, of a total of 13 years on a bike and counting), and many notebooks. ... but you probably mean some social media stuff, which I never had. Sorry!
Nice review, bit you tamp waaay to light on the espresso - the water shall struggle to get through, and move through fairly slow. Love my Wacaco’s - It has changed the way I enjoy coffee outdoors!
I need some help, I ordered the picopresso, got it about a week ago. I dropped it within the first 3 days and it landed on its lid and the lid crack along the threads. I glued it back together and that seems to work but is there anyway of ording a new one?
Very helpful tips & reviews but I'm just not that bothered with the scales, grind yes which took a bit of trail. I have a nano with the barrister kit & use larger basket but still use smaller tank. I love the quality coffee I get from it & use it every day at work. Last night I purchased a pico model so looking forward to comparing it when it arrives. 👍
The cupamoka only brews "15grams"?? Brodie, as an ambassador for Wacaco - you may want to check that info. It brews more than that, and you can dial it in for much more than that as well. I realize it's an older *(1yr) video, but yeah....
I am disappointed by nanopresso, its a not breving coffe, i found fine pieces of powder coffee in the cup which is deficult to ingest. Its look like powder coffe dissolved in water.
@@pancakefingers2889 it’s pretty sad really. The Internet is turning people into asocial/antisocial bots who are replacing life experience with recycled and tired stereotypes. Full disclosure: I like an espresso so now I’m supposed to be an upper-middle class lush stereotype with ‘appropriate’ kids? What the OP didn’t consider is that my wife and I are old, working class, childless (ovarian cancer), both crippled with various ailments and struggling financially, mentally and physically while still doing our best to support both dying and disabled parents (cancer, diabetes, arthritis). We sold a piece of inherited furniture to afford this £50 espresso-maker to help us enjoy our walking trips and occasional days out. (We can’t afford ‘holidays’ so walk or drive from home instead). If we didn’t have the coffee maker it would cost £6 a go for two bad/shitty coffees from dispensers at service stations. We couldn’t afford that without ditching the broadband budget (which would buy us four service station coffees a month). I guess the OP would say that our being old and struggling but drinking coffee is ‘everything wrong with society today’! Great! Suggest me some better options I say. What do you say, ‘Jason’? Why is what we do worse than the worst murderers, r*pists, abusers, liars and thieves and internet-twatz in society today?

Which did he like best
Does the Picopress. has NS adapter as Nanopress.?
Please i need information...how much rotation needed for grind 18g of coffe?
I love my mini NS2 the only downside is it hard to take off the bottom part after making the espresso shot
I need some help, I ordered the picopresso, got it about a week ago. I dropped it within the first 3 days and it landed on its lid and the lid crack along the threads. I glued it back together and that seems to work but is there anyway of ording a new one?
Try getting in touch with the Support team to see if they can mail you the extra part :)
Hello! Excellent video. What brand is your coffee mill?
Very helpful tips & reviews but I'm just not that bothered with the scales, grind yes which took a bit of trail. I have a nano with the barrister kit & use larger basket but still use smaller tank. I love the quality coffee I get from it & use it every day at work. Last night I purchased a pico model so looking forward to comparing it when it arrives. 👍
Let me know how it goes! I think you’ll see a big difference
I have a pipamoka, and it does not leak!
What grinder are you using?
The Grinder is the Exagram from Wacaco :)
@@BrodieVissers ahh, I missed that. Thanks, looks like I will need one
Where is Wacaco Nanovessel? Cool video!
I believe they discontinued it, but thanks for watching!
I was so looking for this. I really don’t mind you being an ambassador at all. How else would anyone get their hands on everything?! 🙏 Thanks!
Haha huge thanks, that means a lot :) glad you enjoyed!
Does the exagrind work well with filter coffee?
I’ll be honest, it’s better with espresso. I hope they can make some options to adapt better for filter soon, but yes it still can work
The cupamoka only brews "15grams"?? Brodie, as an ambassador for Wacaco - you may want to check that info. It brews more than that, and you can dial it in for much more than that as well. I realize it's an older *(1yr) video, but yeah....
It would be a lot easier to have a pack of instant coffee. Seems a lot of faffing around for a coffee
Timestamps would be nice :)
Honestly, after brewing specialty and enjoying it, you saying mhhh to a nespresso capsule throws a lot of your credibility 😅
I am disappointed by nanopresso, its a not breving coffe, i found fine pieces of powder coffee in the cup which is deficult to ingest. Its look like powder coffe dissolved in water.
Im sorry to hear that. I’ve honestly never had that happen. Maybe some of the particles in your grind are too fine?
nespresso capsules? ew, nooooo, that stale junk is not worth putting through these nice brewers
Pipamoka lid is not cool
Because of the leakage?
Great job using old plastic water bottle…. I hear it’s great for your health
Haha, I think the impact is very minimal if not completely negligible, especially if you don’t heat the water. But feel free to send studies 🙏🏼
This is EVERYTHING that is wrong in society today. Dear God 🤦🏼♂️. I’m still wondering if it’s a spoof video……
Why do you hate capitalism and consumerism?
@@tubecated_development Are your children called Tarquin and Petunia?
@@Garg3984No answer from you.
😂😂 if this annoys you maybe you should just stay off the internet
