Bluetooth 4.2??!! What? The bass is so good compared to other bose and the size. Damn between this and the emberton… i think this one takes it. The bass is just beautiful here!
I bought both, compared, and returned Bose. Although Emberton is not so loud, he is not so bass (does not mean he can't bass), he is musical, the instruments are more detailed, the music has balanced depths, mids and highs. In addition, the Emberton has better control, longer battery life and an indicator showing its status (which I find more practical than pressing a button and listening to an annoying voice).

Great info..I am getting one delivered today (I have a Bose .. colour...it at least has a AUX-IN jack...)..your test music was crap...I will be playing some decent music thru mine tonight 😅😅😅😅
I got the Revolve version of this for Christmas and thoguht the sound quality was okay -was going to keep it, but returned it because it kept intermittently dropping sound during playback. We had the original SoundLink from around 15 years ago and it was rock solid, so figured something was just wrong with the unit we got. Went to the store and confirmed I preferred the sound of the Flex over the Revolve anyway, so bought it. Only to find the exact same problem. Duplicated it with different devices as the source, it just kept dropping sound (Spotify) whereas that NEVER happened with the original SoundLink, nor does it happen when we stream from the same devices to our home stereo system. I really want to go get another Flex, but am concerned this is more than a coincidence. Did I just get unlucky, twice? Sound would just cut out for half a second or so, here andt here, around 5-6 times an hour, every time we used it (primarily used for music in the hot tub.) Try a third Bose or move to Sonos?
@@waynejohnstone3685 did the same thing. Turns out it was interference from my Apple Watch when in the hot tub -only time it happened was in the hot tub, playing music with my watch on and running Spotify from my phone all at the same location. The “fix” was to remove the Spotify app from my watch and that solved it -could still run my Spotify from my phone, just couldn’t control that from my watch while in the hot tub.
I’ll be honest…Sony XE-200 impressed me over Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 and Soundlink Flex with passive radiators and software update tremendously better than the Bose Soundlink Flex…plus 5.2 Bluetooth for depth and fidelity…two things missing from many Bluetooth speakers! Got mine today!!!! Its amazing!!!!! The bass pumps your body up to the limit of sounds!!! I did stereo modus with my revolve + and 1 word is needed to say : Incredible! If someone need help comment below and i can tell you how the speaker is🤗😁 Im happy😌
I love it, but I get no text notification sounds through it, only phone calls, and I’m not happy about that
Please do a comparison with the Bose Mini Soundlink II Special Ed
Excellent review!
Just ordered one!
No body talks about how battery efficient the speaker is. Also, on the leading down position the speaker have a wider sound.
Does this sound better then the SoundLink mini 2?
How is the microphone of this speaker? is it good for phone calls?
I mentioned in this video that it’s not my favorite. Maybe the worst part of this speaker
@@ChrispyThings THANKS.
I mentioned in this video that it’s not my favorite. Maybe the worst part of this speaker
Thanks for the review. Can you tell when it will be available in Indian market?
I have no idea. Contact Bose directly might be your best option
April 22, as I enquired it’s already listed on there website
How do we check if bose speaker is original or not ?
I bought two for stereo pairing. However when paired, there seem to be an audio delay when watching video. Has that been an issue?
I have this and the B&O beosound a1 2nd gen. No doubt the Bose is better and I’m shocked!
Lol, watching this on my Color 2 SoundLink. Good breakdown
Is there an app for it? And if so... can you adjust the bass? Sometimes I just want a little less bassy music.
I talked about the app in the video.
No you can’t adjust settings for the sound.
Thanks for the sound test could not find a video anywhere excellent your right it sounds best on its back listened to your video using a SONY XB 31 I’ll get this BOSE AT Christmas just wish there were a couple more colors to choose from hopefully your do a comparison against SONY AND JBL SPEAKERS AS WELL THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO.
Yeah only 3 colors! So I went with the black.
I’ll possibly do a sound test with the Flip 6 once it comes out next month
@@ChrispyThings I might go with the blue flex the flip 6 is available in November I can’t wait I still enjoy my flip 5 great sounding speaker
That’s because that flip 5 is a great speaker!
@@ChrispyThings your right there its awesome I take one to my pool class it fills the room with great sound better than the teachers SONY XB32 the JBL is clean clear sound and punchy I have many flips from the 2 to the 5 I’m awaiting the Flip 6 release as your review did you ever do a JBL CHARGE 4 review that speaker really puts out great sound that’s as high as I go on the JBL LINE UP the rest is way too expensive
I sorry I skipped that one. It’s been a busy year!
this or soundcore motion plus?
Bose make good products but their after sales service is scam... I had a pair of bose wireless earphones and the battery gradually became weak but the earphones were good....and they refused to repair it ...they instead told me to buy a new pair..... Hope they fix their after sales service....they do make really nice headphones and speakers so be careful while buying bose products
Nice instrument seperation
How is this compared with the Sonos Roam? Thanks!
The Roam is a cool speaker with its Wi-Fi feature. But it’s 30 bucks more expensive and the Bose sounds better to me.
I had Sonos roam and the bass is not there at all
Thanks guys. I have heard the Sonos Roam before, sounds clear with good mids and highs, but low end no kick, so didn’t get it. Haven’t heard this Bose SoundLink Flex in real life, good to know it’s overall sound is better balanced.
The problem with those speakers are when I use my iPhone with the speakers I cannot unpaired them when I am finished the clock keeps spinning and spinning I cannot get an answer from Apple or Bose to stop the device from searching. Please help
Turn the speaker off. Then your Bluetooth will stop searching
In vertical position possible hearing more bass line bose flex
What does "EDC" stand for?
Great review by the way!
Subscribed & 👍
Everyday carry. Thanks for the sub!
Great review
Any idea how it compares to the Sonos Roam? Mainly in the sound department. Thanks!
It destroys Sonos Roam.
It’s very good, but not perfect. In my opinion the base could be tighter and the highs could be more forward, but it’s very very good for 119$ on sale. I’m happy with the purchase
does bluetooth 4.2 mean it will not connect with newer phones that use 5.0 ?
It’ll still connect.
I have a brand new iPhone 13 Pro and it connects just fine 👍🏻
No it just means a better connectivity. 🇬🇧👍
I’ve never had a problem with drop out. Not sure why yours would be doing that
@@ChrispyThings thanks! Went out and bought another this afternoon. Got it in blue and my wife loves it. Just charging it up now. Fingers crossed!
@@AlbertaBoy247I just bought one last week and it started cutting out like yours did - how did your replacement work out?
@@waynejohnstone3685 did the same thing. Turns out it was interference from my Apple Watch when in the hot tub -only time it happened was in the hot tub, playing music with my watch on and running Spotify from my phone all at the same location. The “fix” was to remove the Spotify app from my watch and that solved it -could still run my Spotify from my phone, just couldn’t control that from my watch while in the hot tub.
Is it better than Sond link 2
I’ll be honest…Sony XE-200 impressed me over Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 and Soundlink Flex with passive radiators and software update tremendously better than the Bose Soundlink Flex…plus 5.2 Bluetooth for depth and fidelity…two things missing from many Bluetooth speakers! Too many Bluetooth speakers sound shallow.
Nice video. Thankyou.
