@@firstnamelastname6601 Haha, fair enough. I actually haven't heard a lot of those bands, but when I think shibuya kei I just think of that really twee, precious and French-inspired style early capsule and Pizzicato Five has. The cover really screams out the 90s. Love it! TH-cam algorithm really is wonderful and scary at the same time. This album has a whole bunch of genres that I often listened to. I mostly listen to a lot of Mahler and Bill Evans nowadays. So, this was a pleasant surprise. Thank you, dear almeda & TH-cam! Track 1 reminded me of Taeko Ohnuki's Sunshower. Track 2 reminded me of Lamp. Track 3 and half of Track 5 reminded me of chelmico. Track 4 felt familiar too, Cibo Matto perhaps? Track 5 also has that mainstream 00s & 10s J-Pop/Rock melodies. Track 6 & 7 sounded like some indie sh*ts that I listened to in my college days LOL

Kind of like an 800 Cherries or Blueberry, Very Blue type of sound but with more of a city pop influence. even if it's technically not shibuya kei(I couldn't tell you if this group was actually from shibuya or part of the shibuya music scene at the time) I think it's fair to say it's shibuya kei adjacent.
@@firstnamelastname6601 Haha, fair enough. I actually haven't heard a lot of those bands, but when I think shibuya kei I just think of that really twee, precious and French-inspired style early capsule and Pizzicato Five has. I guess Japan has always had a pretty small and interwoven music culture, so a lot of the bands were influencing each other at any given time. Their film industry definitely feels the same way.
INDEED!!!!
REAL
Sensacional. 👏🏼 Amei muito! 💕 Grata 🙏🏽
current situation 2024 july 08. 12:39am south africa n my feed decided to bless me with a random japnese album from the 1996 .Music is life
god it's on spotify😭
Admiring the TH-cam algorithm, having this on weekends when I need to work is really wonderful.
I love the sweetness of her voice, and all that comes around it. Born in France in 1973... Nice find...
I was born in France in 1997 :))
Thank you to whoever managed to get this album on Spotify
I LOVE TH-cam FOR RECOMMENDING THIS TO ME ❤️😭
This album came out when I was born , and waited 28 years to find me , and I love it ❤ first time listening this while walking in a cold but sunny day , life is good
Same here, I'm so glad for this 😄
I love the vibes of this song, almost jazzy even at times! Bless the algorithm for this recommendation 🙏🏻
i don't have nostalgia for the 90s, as i was born in 2007. But I can still feel the sense of cheerful longing in this album that I can see resonates with others.
I might not completely understand how it felt to be back then, but i'm so glad that time capsules like these allow me to get a taste.
EDIT: I'm moving to Japan next year for college! I'm excited!
same, i feel nostalgia for a time way before I was born. I love music
As another person born in 2007, i also agree. Music like this allows you to experience a glimpse of that time period
@@adammasterx5854 just sent this to my son, born also in 2007. Let's see if I know his tastes as well as I think I do. He'll likely tell me he already has them in rotation on YT.
I'm much older, but... tho, good luck!
This needs to be on spotify
agree! i think it was uploaded on spotify; i found a playlist with the entire set of the album added there. but i think the album or the artists' profile was removed. i hope they put it up back again.
@@cirrus9557it might be because Spotify allows you to import downloaded songs that aren’t on Spotify through local files. You need a laptop to do it but it’s lot of fun cuz music not on there u can still listen too
Why, so Spotify can steal ALL of the money? Spotify is horrible.
@@StarPlatinumVall that said while ure enjoying pirated music here
@@rizkyramadhan7551 I will buy this album for sure. But only on vinyl. There, you happy? I actually buy nearly all of my music, except for very hard to find stuff.
never have ever heard any shibuya kei series song like this one, besides this whole album is incredibly out of my perspective, absolutely a great one!!!!
ps:1st and 3rd songs are my favouriate
i was sat inside, and this made me go sit outside to listen to the rest of it
The cover really screams out the 90s.
We have in common quite a bit of the music we listen too :)
The YT algorithm really is magical
if AI takeover means we can find gems like this, I say bring it on LOL
It's just things that other people clicked who clicked things that you clicked. Stop being stupid.
I'm not trying to sound like those dudes that are in love with Japan but Japan has one of the best cultures. Every genre of media they touch turns into gold.
you’re right. i lived in japan for a whole year and it was the happiest i’ve ever been! i think i’m gonna go back!
How am I just coming across this now? This album is so good. It's a shame they're not together anymore.
Hi, can I get your email? I'd like to know more about this song/album
TH-cam algorithm showed me this video and now I am genuinely curious to learn about this band that existed before my parents were even married
It’s from 96 not 73
@@snarfbomber298 yeah my parents werent married yet in 96 so wdym?
Someone was recommended this last Saturday morning via the YT algorithm, and now it's Saturday morning yet again and I'm being recommended this obscure gem.
thanks algorithm, Brazil here and I loved the music
This is a perfect album to listen to after waking up on a Saturday morning. Thank you TH-cam algorithm.
FEELS LIKE A SUNNY SATURDAY
I read this comment literally on sunny saturday lol
Listening to this rn on a sunny saturday
likewise
We need a documentary about this band, I don't need them to make reunion but I definately want to see how they're doing nowadays and do they know they're popular on youtube
Hell ya 🎉
The vocalist is married to the photographer who took this album photo.
Praying this becomes the next “Plastic Love” in terms of rising in popularity.
Plastic Love is not even that great, I think people like it because of the rhythm session, it's dope indeed.
bruh please no
@@ParisTong You're so wrong and have dogshit perception
Yes! More people need to find this masterpiece!
as foreighner i love this song
Jikan no hashi
