I found out about this band around mid-2000 in a group called Cielers (an Indonesian group that discusses Japanese music and other things), which now no longer exists. there is a thread discussing about unknown/obscure/underrated Japanese bands. one of the bands that has been discussed is Advantage Lucy. I really like this band. the music is simple, light and crisp. In my opinion, this band is similar to Spitz in terms of music, the only difference is that the vocalist is a woman 😀

普段は歌メロを重視の歌謡曲、ポップスを好んで聴いている人、またそれとは対照的に、ベタな歌メロを嫌いインディー・ロックばかりを聴いているような人。
当時この対照的な２つの間を繋ぐミッシング・リンクの役割を果たしていたような？そういったバンドは当時沢山ありそうで実際には余り多くなく希少な立ち位置のバンドだったと思う。
特にヴォーカルの、溌剌としているのに憂いがあり、また、おっとりなのに力強くも聴こえるような、両義的な声質が魅力的。よく聴くとそのような色々な感情を含んだ声質なのに一聴だけではよくあるようなサラッっとしたヴォーカルに聴こえるのがまた魅力的。
