Hi folks, I hope you had a good weekend, and that all the Dad's out there enjoyed Father's Day. Time for a footy (or non-footy) snack on the channel !
Is this something you'd be tempted to try? If so, make sure you get it while it's on that Clubcard deal !!
Watching the Euros here in America, nachos and beers all day here .Life is good.
Sounds like life is more than good !
@@GreenoEats off work for a week, so it's a full week of hedonism Greeno .
@UC4sjeV03OZPX-Y2DmqPYvLw nice! I am currently watching Austria v France in a big fan park in Vienna 🙂
@@GreenoEats nice one mate .
@@davidboyce8683 yep - and I'll be watching Hungary v Germany somewhere in Hungary, and Slovakia v Ukraine in Slovakia ! Only live once 🙂
Wow Greeno that’s bangin. And as you say, perfect for the footie. I must head into Tesco and get some. Thanks a mill for sharing this one mate. 👍
No chance of me getting any for tonight's game - I am in Bratislava 😂
Half-time entertainment courtesy of the mighty Greeno!
Almost like I moved my normal 5.30 upload to 5.45 on purpose isn't it ;-)
Woah, almost at 5k subs I see.
Greeno Army! ✊
@@FossaBooks indeed - Little'un has a bit of a food challenge planned for me once I hit that 5k too - not looking forward to that part !
That looked nice my go to snack would be homemade popcorn with peanut m&ms and my favourite crisps great review greeno 😊
popcorn with M&Ms huh - mixed together, or 2 separate bowls? And you mention your favourite crisps without mentioning what they are... spill the beans :-)
@@GreenoEats m&ms in with the popcorn and flavour crisps would be ready salted yep boring but my fave crisps 😂😂
@@foodfromafar-2935 nowt wrong with ready salted. I used to like salt and shake - put the whole sachet of salt in, and a bit more off the dinner table if you could do it without Mum catching you !
Chilli con carne is my favourite 😋
I would buy these..only on the offer though.
Looked lovely 😋
Yeah, the original £6 price tag is too high. But as part of a 3 for £10 deal it is well worth a try.
Taste of Mexico. Perfect for the Euros....!!! 🤣
They speak Spanish in Mexico Tim 😂
Not bad at all especially for the reduced price. Nice little meal there. Great video mate.
Yeah not sure about it at full price, but at almost half price it's decent!
Looks pretty good, I love c&o crisps for a snack
Simple yet effective, cheese and onion are great
I lived in the desert southwest for more than 20 years. Your addition of chopped chiles was a good one - it would happen here. Other possibilities include sour cream dabbed onto the top, guacamole (or chopped avocado) dotted over it, and maybe chopped green onions and tomatoes (all applied after the stint in the oven).
Also, if I were there, I'd have grated up a good handful of mild cheddar or similar cheese and sprinkled it on before the oven.
I would likely also have gone in and shredded the beef chunks. It allows for better distribution and more even coverage, and it's probably easier to eat (also more authentic).
And you're right about the barbecue and sweet notes being ... not authentic. Mexico doesn't hate sugar, but they aren't like Americans, shoveling it in everywhere. Salsa and chile are not products with pronounced sweet flavors. Spicy, savory, vegetal, herbal. Not sweet except incidentally to like the onions.
It did look tasty, though! Good on Tesco's!
Thank you for that very comprehensive comment 🙂 I do like the balance that guacamole adds to Mexican food, but I just can't do sour cream, find it unpleasant. I always have to ask for it to be left out of a dish.
@@GreenoEats No problems. It's customizable to preference in any case. I know people who add in these sliced black olives we get over here in cans, but I never do because they taste just mostly of salt and a tiny bit of umami to me. I don't hate them, but I don't think they add anything. And I bet they're nothing like any olives available elsewhere.
Nice upload/review there Greeno,
Awesome Thumbnail,
Diolch David !
I picked these up a couple of weeks ago in the Tesco 3 for £10 deal. I don't normally go for spicy food so it was a bit of an adventure working out what I was cooking but did the beef in the microwave and ended up with something similar to what you had. Same conclusions too, surprised and pleased the beef was not mince and for £3.33 was a filling pleasant meal for one person.
Great minds and all that ! Definitely wouldn't think it was worth the original £6 price tag, but tasty enough when you get a deal on it!
Yep good football grub with a good few 🍻
Yeah, if you're having it with a few it has to taste good - after a few, well maybe not so choosy !
@@GreenoEats good point,😉😁
Hi greeno love your videos. My go to snack would be hot spicy chicken wings and pork ribs. But quite like the idea of your beef chili nachos! Will try when footy is on this week
Ribs and wings are a good shout. Delicious, if somewhat messy to eat. Glad you're enjoying the content 🙂
I thought that looked ok to be fair Greeno! I could eat that whilst watching the match! ⚽️ top video as always ….Smithy
Cheers Smithy ! After the England game the other night, eating this might be more interesting than the game!
@@GreenoEats I think so Greeno!! 😂
Done at home is always 10 of 10 as you have full control.
True enough - I would make a spicier chilli for starters !
@@GreenoEats Yes and I guess so.
England played at 3am (Malaysia time) I could only manage coffee and toast during that snooze fest. Hopefully we get better.
It was a little dull wasn't it! But 3 points to start the tournament is always welcome I guess.
You certainly looked like you was enjoying that 😉
It was pretty tasty, although the chilli could have been spicier and the cheese sauce could have been cheesier. Didn't stop me though did it 🤣
(40) I like cooking too much to be interested in something like that. And, unfortunately I don't like watching footy/soccer. A pretty fair assessment, though Mr. Greeno.
definitely would be better if you home cooked everything - but not bad as far as kind of ready meals goes
Looked good to be fair.
You could really pimp it up with sour cream and chive dip and guacamole.
Some Cholula mexican original hot sauce and freshly chopped coriander.
A few ice cold beers and watch England disappoint as usual 😊
definitely lots of things you could do to pimp this. Grated cheese on the top as th cheese sace was quite mild. Definitely some hot sauce. Having just got back from watching Austria v France in a Vienna fanpark, I am not sure England is the most disappointing game I have seen so far lol
@@GreenoEats have a great time bro
Looked nice and tasty but my go to would be a cheese and onion crisp sandwich
A crisp sandwich, now your talking my language ! A Frazzles sandwich is a thing of beauty. Cheese and onion Frisps are good in a sarnie too - as are the Roast Beef Roysters. If only I was home I could make a crisp sandwich now, as it is I am in a hotel in Vienna and have to wait until breakfast time !
@@GreenoEats ohhh nooo have a great time
@@user-cx1cv2fu8n I mean, I shouldn't really be moaning about being stuck in Vienna, but I could murder a crisp andwich ha ha !
Hiya Greeno, a long time ago I went to football matches ❤ And do you know how the footie food has stayed with me ever since. 🍔Dodgy burgers. 🥧Pies& cold limp fries 🍟And something wet, warm and Brownish to drink. However, I'll join you in the 21centry. They look OK. My personal choice is always. Crusty French Bread. Thick slices of gammon. A mature Cheese & pickle. Grand🥖🥒🧀🍖and I don't care about the results 😂Interesting video, not sure if I'd buy it off the card deal. Cheers Allan&Family
Wet, warm and brownish? That Bovril surely, the ultimate football beverage!
@@GreenoEats Could very well be so, or tea, coffee, hot chocolate only one thing I could rule out was the Cocker-Leekie☕🍵🍫😵💫
@@AllanNeaves-qn3zr talking of soup, there used to be an old girl who would make homemade soup of different varieties at Kidderminster Harriers. I went there one cold winter's evening around 20 years ago, and I swear her leek and potato got me through their game v Rochdale !
@@GreenoEats Old girls and there soup🧓❤️🥣 it gave us an Empire!!, don't even have an Odeon near me any more (ho ho joke. Nearly). But sadly the art of the past, is being lost. I know an old Jewish guy, makes the most gorgeous chicken noddle soup.,he's coming up to 90yrs still using his mums recipe & saucepans. What was the score? And was the full name Rochdalenil😉
@@AllanNeaves-qn3zr It wasn't a game that stuck in the mind apart from the soup, so clearly not a 9 goal thriller! We make a lot of soup at home. Any time a chicken gets roasted there's a stock pot after to boil the bones.
My first day of work after 3 weeks off and Cologne is full of Scots 😂😂😂 Uuuuu, I like nachos 😊😊😊
Already? The Scottish team don't play until Wednesday night ! The good thing about the Scotland fans though is they will turn up, drink a lot of beer, and just have a good time. Not like if England are in town, when they will drink a lot of beer, sing offensive songs about the war and smash things up. Better to have Scotland in Koeln that's for sure!
@@GreenoEats I was happy to see them have fun, young men, what a fun 😊
How’s life in Germany with Euros Jessica?
@@theabandonedhunter3604 I am not a big soccer fan, but it is nice to see all the young scotsmen having fun and beeing peaceful here, guess tomorrow is their big match. Fan zones are closed today because of haivy rain, hope they can enjoy tomorrow without rain 😊
@@jessicanippes1730 yeah sometimes it’s all about enjoying the occasion. We had some heavy rain in England over the weekend to unless it was just following me around! 😀
I go to Asda as I have family who work there and get deals similar to club card.
You get special deals - or just an overall discount due to the family connection ?
@@GreenoEats just the family connection 👍🏻
Interesting snack but the way you were going through it I doubt you would not make it to half-time :D
Well you have to eat it while the chilli is still warm right :-)
For me it's pizza and beer watching the footie put your money on Spain to win.
Pizza and beer is indeed a good footy scran combo... Spain you reckon - I reckon it could be between them and France
You could have added a bit of grated cheese 🧀 when it came out of the oven 😋
Yes, and some chilli sauce too. Decent enough for what's basically a ready meal
It looks quite nice, but like you, I would prefer some spice and cheese doritos with it. I haven't seen this available in any Irish Tesco, but sometimes only in the really big ones it might be available, but our big ones are in Dublin city centre. I also would prefer minced beef, but to each his own lol.
Yeah, it was tasty, but they could easily have tweaked it be be a bit tastier :-)
@@GreenoEats I suppose they have to make it for the mass market, thus keep it a bit mild, would be great to have different heat levels on offer.
@@mamasinger49 agreed !
Looked quite tasty, wouldn't have paid £6 but as part of a deal was OK.
Exactly that - not a bog standard ready meal, certainly an upgrade on that, but not worth 6 quid that's for sure! Just got back from watching Austria v France in a fan park in Vienna - lots of Arnautovic shirts around !
@@GreenoEats Oh, what an experience that must have been. I loved Arnie, we bumped into him and his brother on the way back from a game against Huddersfield I think it was. We were at one of the M1 services and they were queuing at McDonalds when in came a coach load of us lol! I got him to sign my match programme.
@@KPWHU he strikes me as the kind of player who'd have a McD, and completely blow the manager off if he got pulled up on it !
6:33 😂😂 6:37,
What a silly boy huh !
Nachos as a meal!, here in America nachos are usually eaten as a snack or right before a Mexican meal, odd thing to have as a main meal
Yeah, most often if you see nachos on a restaurant menu they're advertised as a sharing starter. But sometimes you will see it as a main meal.
@@GreenoEats interesting, you could use it as a meal over here but it’s always in the starters at Mexican restaurants and yes most often made for sharing, I’ve been living in America for 23 years and I didn’t even realize that nachos had hit Britain, nachos at home over here are eaten as a snack during sporting events like the superbowl but now the American are getting into real football now there snacking on them during the world and fa cup parties
Im not a football fan but I hope we win .. food looks 😋
It's always good for the mood of the country if we do well. I love football myself. Right now I am watching Germany play Hungary... In Hungary 😊
@@GreenoEats oh wow hope you enjoy 👍🙏
It's 33 degrees and I had 3 beers in the first half. Life is good lol
@@GreenoEats oh wow yes definitely lol 👍
Not at full price but at the reduced price not so bad. but not really into the chips.
what you mean your not sharing. all the family off screen looking for the scraps hehehe
They wouldn't have liked it.... Actually Little'un was helping herself as soon as the camera was off!
I hope euro's enjoyed your meal did you not need to wear a coat while eating it as it was chilli?!
That pun was a little cheesy - nacho best effort ha ha :-)
The reason i wrote those puns are the weather where i am today is a bit crisp nacho best effort for gouda sake!
@@matthewetheridge4535 that's more salsatisfactory 🙂
@@GreenoEats I relish that pun!

I do really like Gary's content, and enjoyed working with him recently, so I guess I do consider him as one of my inspirations when making content. But he never makes anything at home, so what about this video makes you draw that comparison? Genuinely interested, as I wouldn't have thought there was too much similarity - what have you spotted?
