I've been wanting to build/buy a Super Legend HP for quite some time. Visited the factory last winter. Darin Hart, the owner is one of the nicest people to meet! Did you happen to get the Empty Weight and the Gross weight?
Awesome Plane One comment: You never mentioned CATTO being the manufacturer of the propeller? They make the best prop in the industry for this type of flying. Love the performance of their props!!
Great, informative video. Cory Robin suggested his sub's check your channel out...so I did. I'm sub'd! I have to say with all the openings in this thing...two doors, turtledeck...I wonder how much flight load it can take?
Thanks for checking out my content. I have only just started but there is plenty more to come :) That would be a question for the guys at Legend Aircraft, unfortunately I have only the information Jordan gave me in the video.
Hey, you mustn't knock those super dooper non-chafe zip-ties, they're made by a Flying Cowboy and they've changed aviation forever, surely you've heard Cory and the Patey boys going on and on about them ...
@Anonymous Anonymous Its not a great deal more expensive than the lesser models from Legend and somewhat cheaper than their very popular competitor Cub Crafters - Who with their slick finishes and marketing have no problem convincing pilots to part with their money. Go to their website and a standard ss cub with a reasonable panel is 210,000 without delivery. This is a very long living aircraft and, if their other models are anything to go by, have excellent resale value if maintained well.
@Anonymous Anonymous Lol. Im hearing you on that. A cub wont get your family and luggage on holiday. It is a different kind of flying altogether (which I love). Most of my friends are not that interested in it preferring a fast and very comfortable plane at a cheaper price. More for travelling I think, where for me, its not so much about long distances but scenic low and slow stick and rudder flying experiences.
Did Mr. Chipper of Wichita, KS ever sell more than six of his Kitfox Lite derivative Ultralights? I was rooting for him and his wife...and then the fire !
Quarter million???? Ever hear of a Highlander??? You can have a nice Highlander for about a 100 grand, never spend more than that. Rear CG is deadly, somebody will find that out the hard way.
And under all that it's a 1930 airplane. Now I love 1930s airplanes but these things strike me as pointless and it baffles me that people buy these for the insane prices.
This is a custom design using advanced composite construction and engineering. I know the costs suck, but airplanes are frigging expensive to build especially something like this, which is similar to building advanced race cars. I would love one of these.too but there are much more affordable options that can fit much of the mission that this one does. It's cool to see these things get build, but someone has to pay for it.
LOL, Dan gets around. Met him at East Sale years ago and a workmate bought his farm with a runway. He owned a lovely yellow Cub back then.
Very good video really thurough details of all the airplane
Thanks., glad you enjoyed it!
That Maule in the background at 2:21
That is it. 4 seats 1k useful. still gets off the ground in 300'
Hunters in Alaska have mounted gun cases on the struts of their supercub's since the 1960's
Its a clever idea!

I didn't sorry. Best to get in touch with Legend Aircraft to ask them
@WildAl Mayhem Those numbers are for the Super Legend HP, not the MOAC. The MOAC information is not currently listed on the site.
Not sure on the weights, but the zip ties are amazing. Lol
Quarter of a million dollars! I'm selling a nice 1400 sq ft. house in a great retirement community for $159k...
Awesome Plane

Count how many times he uses the word ‘amazing’-this must be the best of the best?
I want a demo ride
contact Legend Aircraft
I’m highly impressed with the zip ties!
pretty awesome!

Umm, ever heard of SCRAPPY, now that is the King of all cubs. Mike Patey is a ledgend. Makes this look primative. Check out his channel..
if only we all had Mike's skills!
Whew! I'm so glad he talked about the zip-ties, because that's what I watched the video for ya know. Lolz
Yeah plus the whole um um um uh um uh um um uh thing makes for a very composed and informative video

3:26 "braking solenoid" LOL.
Cab? How about cockpit. Is this guy a pilot?
It's a Cub Jim, but not as we know it! Mother of all price tags.
$250k is less than a Carbon Cub.
So that makes scrappy the king of all cub? KOAC
I think so!
This is one of those money is no object cubs
Your NOT supposed to "baby" a new engine! Get the manifold pressure up and seat those rings!
These cub companies are getting out of hand.

Lol nice plane, but I'm gonna stick with the chipper I'm about to build for 20 grand minus the engine cost.
Did Mr. Chipper of Wichita, KS ever sell more than six of his Kitfox Lite derivative Ultralights? I was rooting for him and his wife...and then the fire !
Is Chipper's Creator's name Weibe ? I must check By Dan Johnson website.
$250,000 ?
Price is steep, build it in Poland for 85,000.
250k and it still has heel brakes?......i'll go carbon cub and bank 75k
I was waiting for the "super" cupholders.
I actually prefer heel brakes myself, but that's a personal preference thing. I'm sure you could get toe brakes if that's what you wanted.
Mmmm, $250,000, think I'll buy four A220's and start a flying school instead...
Heel brakes really .
But is it amazing??
Hi
gday

Yikes... A Titan engine.
I heard more about some silly gopro and stupid helmet than about the airplane capabilities.
change the prop design
What were you thinking Tony?
Ridiculously overpriced. What are these people thinking?

We need a non for profit aircraft maker.
Ya. and gas stations that give out free gas!
They're thinking that there are a lot of rich Texas oil men out there with bush flying fantasies and more money than sense.
And they're right.
@@jjohnston94 Right?
Jordan, my Man !...next time Write a Script so you can eliminate the "uh", "ums" and "uhs"...Please. It's called Being a Professional Salesperson !
I think Jordan did a great job! I caught him off guard and we shot it all in one go, no editing so we could upload it for everyone straight away :)
