I would say that marijuana is way safer than alcohol in terms of how it affects others and yourself physically. Likely if a pothead is violent, they’re either on more drugs or they’re just a violent person. It may not be a substance like alcohol that would cause people to lose control and go crazy and violent. (Especially during blackouts). However, there is still plenty of reason why we should keep it illegalized but alcohol legal as well despite its dangers. Marijuana has its problems mostly in how it badly affects the brain and often hurts relationships not just because it can make people not like you for using it, but also because of the laziness and addiction it causes to so many people. We have seen what happened when we took alcohol away and the problems from it being illegal completely outway the problems of keeping pot illegal. Legalized pot hasn’t really changed anything like what the 21 amendment did revoking the 18th amendment . In the ideal world we would all be sober but it simply isn’t the case for everyone.

  • @SPACEDOUTXI

Intoxicated driving is an issue, no argument there, but it's been an issue since horses where the norm. Also, making marijuana federally legal can help decrease some of the billions of dollars of debt the US is in. Not many people know this but alcohol was prohibited before pot was, and pot was criminalized on selfishness and competition anyway, it was never banned because it was thought to be dangerous. In the 20's it was being prescribed as medicine. I know you could day the same for heroin but because of scientific advancement we know the actual dangers of both drugs, and because of this we can see that marijuana is one of the safest recreational drugs being used. Republicans should be all over legalization because of their pro-business motto. It's good for capitalism, it's good for the government, and it's good for the people who choose to use it. It's a win-win-win all around the board but still people argue about it. People should put bias aside and actually look at things without tunnel vision because that would really solve problems.

They say marijuana is in the same level as heroin and cocaine and fentanyl and they say that liquor is okay now those people that stand by that have made a career out of being ignorant and sucking the blood out of the taxpayers because of a lie. Law enforcement allowed kids to sell drugs on the corners of all the cities in America I saw it. Police drove by heroin dealers so they could pull over and arrest somebody for smoking a joint. And that's how they got the name PIGs. Like the movie said saying it's your job doesn't make it right it just makes you a leech a tick a blood sucking pig. It’s funny that the people who talk
against legalization are the ones who have never tried marijuana(most of the time). I’d value their arguments if they said “ I’ve smoked marijuana..” in the beginning of the statement. Realistically, if they have tried it they would use that in an argument. Giving them a solid foundation for an opinion on marijuana.

I am totally against the idea if legalizing marijuana. It should continue to be a crime and those caught should not do time but should be burden with a high fine.
Our upper middle class neighborhoods are now being infested with young males selling marijuana in their home and their customers coming in their loud cars and even though they get caught they are being reased on the next day. No jail time etc. This is a disappointing situation which has many NJ residents considering moving out of NJ
