That guy is saying the truth. The only folks who care about legalizing marijuana are white folks because they don't need to live in a neighborhood where weed and drug dealing is occurring constantly and you get to witness young people destroying their future. Anyone who supports legalizing marijuana is part of a bigger problem in this country.

It seems like they're more concerned with the psychoactive effect and potency, but that's exactly what happened when alcohol became legal. Beer was the first step just like reggie is for weed. Then things became stronger liqours became stronger. Now, weed is becoming stronger as freedom is introduced into the industry. The only difference is weed is still maintaining a black market, but has yet to kill a single human in its natural growth state. Not saying people dont add shit to weed. That's why this industry needs to be under control to alleviate the black market. So there is no added substance to a NATURAL plant.

      @arcanjocesario5986 ปีที่แล้ว

@perryconrad7968 are you stupid or deliberately lying? stupid whataboutism don't justify legalization of recreational use. And there's plenty of evidence now showing that marijuana not even close to safe: it causes neurodevelopmental problems, it has a 10% rate of addiction (catastrophic public health consequences on a country where millions of people consume the drug), there are very strong links to mental illness and evidence of genetic mutations on sperm and oocytes, edibles are sending mountains of newborns into ICUs, and to make matters worse, the potency of THC just keeps on increasing while the black market flourishes even more in the states that legalized (just like in Uruguay and Canada). It should have become pretty obvious now to anyone who is paying attention that the marijuana industry is likely to cause another a public health disaster like tobacco.
It never made any sense to legalize it, but public opinion about marijuana has been so manipulated that somehow they managed to do it and get the USA ever closer to a full-blown idiocracy. Legalization of recreational marijuana was a super lazy and irresponsible political move, and a tragic price will be payed a couple of decades from now unless someone has the political courage to go back, revert the mistake and simply decriminalize as it should have been all along. The only people who benefit from legal marijuana are the psychopaths who want to profit from the destruction of public health.

Decriminalizing only strengthens the Cartels. Legalize it and regulate it's uses. Big tobacco is only dangerous because the functions of tobacco is only to smoke it. The people running big tobacco are just business people who want to make money. Pot will have different uses than tobacco and different health effects so it will have different incentives for how to make money. Watch Altria become a health food company if that what customers demand. Altria just wants to make money.

sheeeiiit... you better get packing and move to to a legal state then because waiting on Georgia to legalize it it'll never happen, and if so it will be the last state to do so. i'm born and raised in Georgia and i think it should be legalized here. Stacy Abrams was all for it and she didn't get elected governor, instead we got Kemp's b*tch @$$ who's completely against weed period. they wont even legalize medical marijuana here the right way, instead they allow patients to use very low dosages of cannabis oil. i recently visited California back in may for my 25th birthday and i felt like a kid in a candy store the entire time i was in the dispensary. it feels so good to be able to walk into a store and buy weed legally with no worries.

It's not a matter of him being right or me being right. It's a matter of me going meta and realizing that what this whole debate is about is about him defending his own personal biases his ego and me defending my personal biases and my ego.
And all that's happening here is we're just clashing our biases together without any kind of higher awareness and that's like a light bulb going up. This is a earth-shattering revelation when you realize this then you go meta on the whole debate and you realize ah i see this is not going to be resolved at the level of defeating his ideas or him defeating my ideas and it doesn't matter who wins this debate because this is all just an ego game.
And then i can look inside of myself and i can realize oh yeah
i can actually use mindfulness to penetrate into my own body become aware of my ego at work inside of me generating this ideology and then defending
it and being closed-minded about it and
    refusing to
look at the situation from a higher perspective.
I can actually feel my body getting
hotter. I can feel myself getting angry or defensive when he's making a good point.
I can also start to notice the various manipulative tricks that his ego is using against me in this debate and then i can notice myself using those tricks against him and i can notice the double standards that i have and i can notice my own biases and i can notice his biases and i can notice the fact that the only reason i'm arguing with him is because i have a certain survival agenda that i'm trying to defend with my ego and i can notice that he's doing the same thing and when all of that is noticed the entire game of this debate collapses.
That would be going meta. Can you see how powerful that is can you see how liberating that is.
You see this is the kind of higher dimensional move that needs to be done to solve this particular problem.

You don't need to prove that weed is beneficial or therapeutic, because the only rwasoning you need is that other equally or more harmful substances are already legal. "Pregnant mothers" and DUI are the most popular excuses, but by that logic anything that hurts the foetus or impedes your driving skills should also be illegal.

The only bad side to it is law enforcement and your legal system will have to find another way to steal money from taxpayers to make up the difference. It would be nice if they use the free time that they now have ( since they aren't chasing kids down for weed )if they started after violent criminals but that's kind of dangerous and it's hard work I mean geez can you imagine if law enforcement didn't sit on their ass most of the day. I miss the cops I had when we were kids. I remember them as men and worthy of wearing the uniform. I was pulled over in 75 andthe officer made me throw the weed over the guardrail. I sat in the back of that car flinging the bull with those troopers for a half hour at least.

As long as everyone is legally allowed to grow and sell weed that's gone through proper regulatory standardized testing then that would solve a lot of problems. Like how everybody can Homebrew and sell alcohol, needs to be like that for weed. Simple.

The guys main point for not legalizing is that weed has too much thc nowadays and that it isn't regulated. That's literally just another reason to legalize. If it was sold in shops, then people can choose the concentration and they know that it is safe to smoke. There are no reasons for weed to be illegal, its rediculous that people are even having these discussions

considering pot is so much safer than alcohol that it is simply incomparable, and the fact that opioids have massacred over 400,000 people in the US alone, more than twice the amount of hiroshima and nagasaki put together, while alcohol kills nearly 100,000 people yearly i think its important to remember that in marijuana's 5000 years of use, there have been 0 deaths whatsoever. The illegalization of cannabis has led to the destruction of millions of unfair incarcerations for minority communities and reparations must be made.

It kills around 100,000 people from overdoses every year in the US alone, are you seriously trying to be funny or something?? It's a disgrace that states are able to legalise it but I'm proud of Joe Biden for not legalizing it federally. Pot smokers should be put in for at least a decade in jail, I feel we are too kind with these lunatic criminals. Just drink alcohol like my god what's it with you people and this devil lettuce.
