Ahah! Press the “cup” button - that was the missing from the Phillips descaling product AND the Saeco instructions. And then open the steamer valve to get the water flowing. The video was worth it for that key piece of into (and not much more. Sorry, it was just too silly.)
Why do you not have to wash brew head through with the descaler?

The instruction manual says to empty the contents of the tank (filled with fresh water) through the portafilter, before repeating the process through the steam wand. Did you find this step unnecessary?

Just wondering how often I should descale?
I got my Saeco POEMIA refurb from you guys last summer... added Non-Pressurized Portafilter upgrade (if that matters) & use filtered water.
Pull one double shot a day about 6 days a week. Use a separate frother so milk never goes thru this Saeco.
The last time I descaled was three months ago... I use pretty dark and oily beans & since I don't use milk thru this (I do use the steamer to blow steam thru it whenever I pull a shot) and filtered water, thought 3 month descaling would be fine.
Agreed or more often?

Descaling every three months seems about right. You wouldn't want to go much longer or much shorter. Thanks! -Kaylie

I don't even know how to respond to this video. Can't stop laughing. Pretty sure the service department (or legal) is going to ask you to film a PSA saying that frothing tequila breast milk with your new Saeco Aroma will violate the warranty and how steam wand reacharounds may constitute sexual harassment.
