Think pretty much same thing happen with Zen in asian server. I remember one of my guildies had a lvl 250 zen. Was force to change his main after that annoucement. End up changing into a corsair.

Major L. Jett are conceptually the coolest class in my opinion, and I really enjoyed their gameplay even from day 1 when they were a reskin of pirates, the theme was just awesome. I got a 200 Jett that I love and it wouldn’t be the same if it’ll turn into a gunslinger or something… instead of re-releasing them as something new that people would like and could still call it Jett, they decide to remove them as if they put down a dog. What bugs me is the lack of consistency. How are you gonna delete a whole class that people have been heavily invested in, but in other cases such as pottable badges, you prevent players from getting it but the ones who have it can keep it? Either leave the class alone and stop the creation, or keep it consistent across all aspects so there isn't such an obvious disparity among players.

I've been a Jett main for a while, and I finally hit 255 last month, it feels like such a middle finger that after I finally completed the main story for the first time, my main is just being removed and the only choice I have regarding it is which EXPLORER I can change to, despite the fact that I have literally every single one at level 200 or above
Mag potion, growth selector, 3x, etc are decent compensations at best. The character should be turned into a permanent legion block with the same legion effect jett has based on the level. Why would they straight up remove the class? This also makes me really scared for Kanna and Hayato. I love those classes and they might be taken away next..? Idk why not just leave it in the “never touched” purgatory that the sengoku classes are. Removing it seems extreme.

I've played a lot of MMOs and I've n e v e r heard of a non-special-event class being permanently removed before. And the "compensation" they provide even expires??? For some people this class is their identity in the game, there is no compensation that can really make up for it. I lose sleep thinking about how much I hate Nexon, I only pray they sell the IP to literally (any other company) because I still love Maplestory. I made a level 10 jett to legion burn, guess I had good timing, this actually feels insane to let players put this much time and energy in and then remove the entire class. My only thought would be a potential new lvl 300 content and job skills are in pipelines and jett just wouldnt have content being worked on since KMS is only region with developers. copium but wow what an unprecedented move.

The writing has been on the wall. Zen another special class from Maple SEA was removed after 6 April 2021. Similar to Jett, players were given opportunity to transfer their characters between November 11, 2020 and April 6, 2021. Good luck to all Jett players. Hope you find one of the other classes just as enjoyable.

In MapleSEA they deleted the Zen class a while ago. They did not delete the characters itself. They gave Zen classes an option to choose to change to any other pirate class.

It was inevitable when Zen got removed, at least Jett got some memorabilia out of it. Zen players got a legion block lasted a month, and you could only choose between Corsair and Buccaneer. Jett was genuinely quite fun despite the low play rate, server exclusivity ruined the class.

It's really sad that I was thinking about lvl up my Jett to 200. That really isn't much of a good trade off. I already have all explores, so it doesn't make much sense to make another. And for people whom invested in this character shouldn't have it taken away. If nexon is invested in making regional exclusive characters in Maplestory then pratice what you preach.
That pisses me off. I was enjoying my Jett so much I continued pushing it towards 200 instead of parking at 141 like my other legion mules (still on the legion grind). It's sad and pathetic to realize that if you want to continue playing this game without the fear of a class being super nerfed, left behind, or deleted, you have to stick to KMS class standards. Ironically, I thought something like this would have happened to Beast Tamer before all the reworks. I'm honestly disappointed, having trained my Jett to 201 and just enjoying the class theme. Who knows if the other international classes are on the chopping block now.
Played Maplestory for a long time, since it's early days. It was long part of my teenage years. If there's something that I always felt was that Nexon doesn't give the smallest crap about their player base. Specially EMS, they really don't care what happens there. Me and a lot of friends stopped playing as there was a account info leak after a specific update, where thousands got their accounts hacked after being asked to "change password for security measures" by the game, which would result in the hacker receiving the passwords when a player decided to change them. Nexon did nothing at all, instead blaming it on the players and how un-safe their computers likely were 😒
This makes me super scared for Beast Tamer. Another specific class for only our Maplestory, that is created a lot for Link Skill and isnt mained by a lot of people. Beast Tamer is what brought me back to play Maplestory for so many years...I dont want 9 years to be gone 😢
sad beast tamer was the most intresting *albeit the most annoying* char in the game ... having all the skills and different stances that focused on different things and being able to mix and match a few of them (meta really kills that but shhhhh)

Jetts are more tha 1% of the lvl 250+ characters, theres more jetts in 250+ than bowmasters aran arks paladins and a lot other classes... its a big portion of the game that will be sad and mad with nexon, and the compensations are TRASH.... another common BIG FAT L from nexon
Is this the first ever character removed? that's just wild why even remove it? I remember this was the first character you could fight the mp3 map(think the ghost pirates with mops)right at 70 with no good items.
unless you count pink bean and yeti then yeah..
They deleted the Zen class(Another class with 5% crit dmg) from MapleSEA a few years ago.

Mo Xuan it was the replacement for when Zen (the jett palette swap in other servers) got deleted in China MS and Taiwan MS.

Not a Jett main but I liked it a lot. I'm not spending any money on the game anymore. I just don't trust it now. I feel GMS will be shut down as a whole in the future. There is no stability in GMS. I need to step away sooner than later to protect myself.

Thank goodness I got back into my Paladin when I did getting him to LV250. But RIP my Jett that got into when I returned to the game 2 years ago.
i think the rewards should depend on what level you are on your jett and all the resources will be refunded at the absolute minimum

I do not need another adventurer class since I've made one of each already. I need to be able to replace it with a Knight of cygnus or resistance character. Or even an anima / flora character.

I remember when Zen is removed in MSEA they replace new job for you to Buccaneer. If Jett will remove GMS should change to Corsair aswell. Hope your items aren't gone.

It's really sad that I was thinking about lvl up my Jett to 200. That really isn't much of a good trade off. I already have all explores, so it doesn't make much sense to make another. And for people whom invested in this character shouldn't have it taken away. If nexon is invested in making regional exclusive characters in Maplestory then pratice what you preach.
So they're basically compensating me with nothing because I have every job at level 200. Thanks Nexon.

Naw it’s just for any class that didn’t originate from KMS I’d imagine. So beast tamer, hayato and Kanna can potentially disappear as well.
That pisses me off. I was enjoying my Jett so much I continued pushing it towards 200 instead of parking at 141 like my other legion mules (still on the legion grind). It's sad and pathetic to realize that if you want to continue playing this game without the fear of a class being super nerfed, left behind, or deleted, you have to stick to KMS class standards. Anything outside of that realm well good luck! GMS is just the copycat annoying sibling of KMS. No innovation, no courage. Just following suit with 99% of what KMS does. RIP Jett mains and enjoyers. May your space journey to better galaxies go well.
Ironically, I thought something like this would have happened to Beast Tamer before all the reworks. I'm honestly disappointed, having trained my Jett to 201 and just enjoying the class theme. Who knows if the other international classes are on the chopping block now.
Jett was the funniest class to 200, strong as fuck! It was a breeze!
Played Maplestory for a long time, since it's early days. It was long part of my teenage years. If there's something that I always felt was that Nexon doesn't give the smallest crap about their player base. Specially EMS, they really don't care what happens there. Me and a lot of friends stopped playing as there was a account info leak after a specific update, where thousands got their accounts hacked after being asked to "change password for security measures" by the game, which would result in the hacker receiving the passwords when a player decided to change them. Nexon did nothing at all, instead blaming it on the players and how un-safe their computers likely were 😒
im not a jett main but this is gonna make me take a step back tbh removing content like old quest is manageable but this is too far tbh
This makes me super scared for Beast Tamer. Another specific class for only our Maplestory, that is created a lot for Link Skill and isnt mained by a lot of people.
Beast Tamer is what brought me back to play Maplestory for so many years...I dont want 9 years to be gone 😢
sad beast tamer was the most intresting *albeit the most annoying* char in the game ... having all the skills and different stances that focused on different things and being able to mix and match a few of them (meta really kills that but shhhhh)

The real insult is that the compensation to the people who dedicated that much effort into the class is just so meh. 100 nodestones made me laugh in pain.

WoW Cataclysm, FFXIV, Guild Wars 2, Destiny , Ultima Online. These are just the ones that I am aware of.
The best course of action for this probably would have been to remove the ability to create Jetts but let those who have them keep them, then exclude Jetts from event stuff since that's where their problem was.
It just seems cruel to force Jetts to switch.
Removing classes from game is not a good sign
