They are such a great combination together, this doco is really showing me what the relationship was like with William, Catherine and Harry before evil stepped in. I’m an American and wouldn’t want a monarchy here, but I think there can be a useful role for an apolitical, ceremonial, head of state in certain old countries like Britain. I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t much admire the late Princess of Wales, except for some of her charitable work. She was in a very difficult marriage, but was immature, emotionally disturbed, not very bright and didn’t behave with dignity. I do love how we see the Queen's love for her grandson shine through, even now. When Diana died, the Queen took her grandsons to Balmoral to grieve and she took them to church to pray for their mother. She sent them to Balmoral, away from all the gossip and scrutiny, so they could fall in love in peace, she made sure Princess Charlotte's place in the line of succession was confirmed. She would be next after Prince George, and not be overlooked just because she's a princess. I’m an American and wouldn’t want a monarchy here, but I think there can be a useful role for an apolitical, ceremonial, head of state in certain old countries like Britain. I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t much admire the late Princess of Wales, except for some of her charitable work. She was in a very difficult marriage, but was immature, emotionally disturbed, not very bright and didn’t behave with dignity. I do love how we see the Queen's love for her grandson shine through, even now. When Diana died, the Queen took her grandsons to Balmoral to grieve and she took them to church to pray for their mother. She sent them to Balmoral, away from all the gossip and scrutiny, so they could fall in love in peace, she made sure Princess Charlotte's place in the line of succession was confirmed. She would be next after Prince George, and not be overlooked just because she's a princess. We see Princess Charlotte being mentored by Princess Anne....she is giving Charlotte the title of Princess Royal and mentoring her in becoming a Queen who will carry on the legacy of her grandmother before her.
