Argh man this was beautiful 😢thank you so much ladies . This is such a beautiful reminder that we are not alone especially as a black woman who just left a high control religion. The racism we used to experience in those pairings 😂😂😂I’m so glad I’m outa there

It was! You feel so alone and unseen when going through these things until you talk to someone and its like "damn, so I wasn't imagining that".

I remember growing up in the religion and witnessing how Dreadlocks would be labelled wrong and even quoting that one verse that doesnt even say anything about the hairstyle , it was insane and as soon as new members come through with their african prints outfits ,they will be given western clothes a lot is happening ....there

I disassociated because I thought that was the better way to put a stop to it all. Taking back my identity. I refused to live life in secret, waiting to be caught out.
Experienced both racism and xenophobia in our Afrikaans congs as a foreigner. And when we decided to go to Uni? Yo yo yo. Lol.
    Good video!

Question: I’m in America but I always curious how JW’s in other countries feel about the governing body being filled with Americans? Did that raise any flags that out of everyone in the world, “god” choose mostly American men to be his spokes person? Also they are adding two More governing body members, but it hasn’t been officially announced yet .

We've been concerned, even the 144 000 aren't as diverse (from the images I remember). I always wondered why other races weren't represented. And how can white people know or understand all our problems, especially as black people in Africa.

First sending protective save energy there. I remember in the 70s and early 80s I asked my parents ehy all the friends in the articles were white and no black people....they said that was a good question...but be patient...Jehovah will serve it straight. Uuuugghhh such a scapegoat answer for all of thatcults crap!! Love you're videos...beautiful sisters.

When I became a JW in the late 60's the remnant were very much involved in the spiritual work being put out to publisher's. Some of the remnant were black or coloured. When the organisation print pictures of Jesus and the anointed in heaven they all white men no women. This is not the same religion that I got know in 60's the Internet has EXSPOSED them it is diffinately a cult. I was raised by parents who taught us that we all are the same in God's eyes. MUCH LOVE FROM CAPE TOWN😮

WT has a history of racism internationally. However, in South Africa ku worse. When we were building the WT headquarters in Roodekrans, they kept the African brothers in Kagiso hostel whilst White and Indian brothers were right in Bethel.
It took a strike of African brothers for the WT to intergrate the Africans in Bethel during the building period of the HQ
On top of that there are more Africans in Mzansi yet the Bethel elites are majority white, when I was still a Witness in 1997 we only had one African in the hierachy of JW.
I also faded and left the Gauteng province for a year and came back as a person who was no longer a publisher( on a dead file), there was no way they could disfellowship me for anything after that.

    • @MonicaRaseroka
      @MonicaRaseroka  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

The racism is so blatant here! I have experienced what you're talking about as well. We had an elder who was part of the building committee so I would join the construction of kingdom halls frequently.
The hard labour was left to Africans and white people did all the easier tasks like allocating work to the blacks, organizing food but having the Africans prepare it, planning the garden and having the Africans do the labour.
I'm actually surprised but not shocked about white people in Bethel holding high positions. It's the same for the corporate culture in SA where unqualified white people always hold management roles even though they are the minority.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses are a racist organisation! Period! And I'm so happy you made it out, congratulations on your freedom✨️

This conversation i have with me myself and i and of course, the creator. I am always independent culturally and respectful and enjoy others' culture because my family extende as children's, partners from different cultures and it works, but jdubs want you to focus on the imperfection and rejections and go and focus on bible student potential outside if your family not picking up the slack as it were.

The 1934 year book Rutherford wrote to Nazi regime in which stated that he also did have hatred for Jews and black people and always belittled Women saying they like a bag of bones with some hair on. Samuel Herd in talk few months ago that said Women have smaller breins there for can't do what men do??????? Poor guy is not a well budgie. JESUS had so many women who did great work while he was on earth but in this cult women are a nil on a contract.

No longer do I believe in religion, I feel more spiritual since I faded. This religion really affected my health and it was truly exhausting 🤦🏿‍♀️ and toxic. My heart goes out to the children that are raised as jw.
