    Simply splendid. There's no better training motivator for me than seeing how spectacular the correct form is.

    This is just pure art! Beautiful beautiful form of high level fencing display from both of you!

    Some high level fencing from both the athletes. Awesome! (just look at Oskar's hip rotations, though :o)
    Love these vids in which one can *really* appreciate the difference in fencing styles

    This looks like a splendid friendly sparring session. Looks like both of you are really focused in your actions to try out the other one.

    Great fencing.
    I hope I'll be able to achieve this form under pressure some day.

    This was great to watch. 5:20 was particularly reminiscent of your bout with Fabian, hehe! I admire your explosive push-off in that move, fantastic footwork

    @8:43 , I love that textbook-perfect zwerchau.

    Some really interesting clips! Federico's form is beautiful, as is his competitor.
    Though, I saw some hits on Federico that came in by virtue of the Feders flexing. While obviously can't easily rule these out, it's super awesome to see how even that can play into the results of training / sparring.

    Molto interessante la precisione e naturalezza che ha nel passare da una posta all’altra. Molto bello anche da vedere.

    Great technique but what really shines is both of your footwork.

    Great sparring! I am really looking foward to the breakdown if the sparring. I most train one-handed swords, but I may have to dip my toes into two-handed chinese swords so that I can spar against longsworders who are much easier to find.

      @ScottGrow117 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You Chinese? You study Chinese sword fighting? I lived in Beijing for a while, but this was before I fought longsword. I am curious to learn some Chinese sword fighting techniques but don’t know what to search for really.

    I see that Oskar is very ready he even uses boxing boots! For better grounding on each step with the longsword.

    I don't know is Oskar brought his messer but I think a messer vs arming sword video would be really cool

  • @sthiel126
    @sthiel126 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks to this video, I have decided that Fredrico is a Water-bender, fluid, every movemt blends into the next. And Oskar is an Earth-bender, Stoutly planted, with a strong grace that makes some of his movements 2 for1.

    Wow! Two of my favorite hemaïsts sparring! A nice surprise. Excellent art!
    I would love to see you sparring with arming sword versus Langesmesser or Sword and Buckler as well. I know Oskar is competent with those as well.

    I think that, Oskar's technique could be described by words: "If you want to fight good, you must know four main positions - flug, oxe, alber and un tag....."))). Am I right?)

    im still deciding weather to go for sabre, rapier or longsword.

    • @EntropicEcho
      @EntropicEcho 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why do you have trouble deciding? Of course you should go for sabre rapier and longsword! Well.. substitute Messer for sabre though!!

      @@FedericoMalagutti i fully accept longsword is the correct answer but i want try duel welilding sword and dagger first. ( i studied wing chun for 10 years so it might fit me better)

    that a Sigi Lichty or a short concept?
    Would be super funny if it was the Lichty, you know, as Fiore practitioner.

    nice video! Oskars movement through the guards from 6:30-6:45 is super sexy, i wish i could do that xD if i try similar things i always get caught off guard xD

    • @Druid_Ignacy
      @Druid_Ignacy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      See Arto Fama, he also does similar things. One cannot focus at the same time on beautiful movement and fighting. So if I want to fight like that, I have to make such flow a tool which I am able to use freely

    What was that pseudo squat Oskar, are you trying to offend the proud slavic nations?

  • @funnysecksnumber6998
    @funnysecksnumber6998 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    oskar's weakness is his positioning and movement. he is simply too dramatic, his movements too big. he could compensate with speed however. id just like to say, i dont like this weird guard that he does, its way too off to the side than it needs to be.
    i dont know, his style is just strange to me. but still good fencing nontheless.
    actually no wait, the more i watch the more i like it. so he has to be fast to be good. like a rotary engine, he has to be going at a certain speed to actually 'make any power.' (still needs to fix his 'pflug' tho lmao)
    omg sorry to be so rude tho, im just in a grumpy mood i guess
