Rearranging your books for MY 1000% YES: Addie LaRue, Evelyn Hugo, Jade City, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Lessons in Chemistry, Poppy War, Project Hail Mary, It Ends With Us 🤗
Same 😂❤ I am actively trying to stop my friends from reading Project Hail Mary because I just know I will be so sad if they don't absolutely love it! So silly
Also the house in the cerulean sea i really loved. Fangirl i read when it came out and i vaguely remember liking it. All systems red i gave 2 stars ☹ it was kinda expensive too for it also being a short read which was kinda a bummer
Ohhh you gotta continue the jade books! I binged all three this past week with audio haha. Gave first one 4 stars but the next two are SO fun and last one being incredible from beginning til end. No doubt you will love!
I dnf’d Legends and Lattes….. and I’ve got soooo many more books I’m drawn to ( a lot are your recommendations 👍🏻) before I even think about Fourth Wing……🤷♀️
Daughter of smoke and bone, red rising, six of crows, beach read were all d-n-fs for me. Throne of glass and city of bones I read when they first came out, I remember loving them but never finished the whole series of both and probably never will. Assassin apprentice was ok but definitely not continuing.
I heard such good things about Gideon the ninth so i read it and gave it 3 stars. Haven't read any of those other books but do want to read dark matter
I didn’t get Murderbot either..I dnf’d it.I keep thinking I need to try it again because I feel like I must have missed something, but maybe not lol after hearing your opinion. I was disappointed in Legends and Lattes which I know is a very unpopular opinion. Loved, Loved , Loved The House in the Cerulean Sea…Chauncey was my favorite followed by Lucy.. such a heartwarming book with so many teachable moments about acceptance etc. one of my all time favorites.
This video was amazing! Please do another!!! Of the ones I read- I totally agree with you on Project Hail Mary, addie la rue, daisy jones, and Evelyn Hugo. The only one I didn’t agree with was the love hypothesis- that one was “I can see it” for me lol. And this helps me so much decide which hyped books I’ll give my time to. Thank you!!
100% agree about Caraval!😂 i only read the 1st one, and DNF'd the 2nd.🫤 If it's not too much to ask, can you do a spoiler video on the Caraval trilogy? Or, is there a Worldhoppers video discussing the books?
Hi Jessie, Thank you so much for all your work! I really enjoy your videos 🥰😘 I would like to see a thriller tier list if it's possible. Thank you and keep up the good work. Hugs, Roxana
Fantastic video again by a fantastic lady on a fantastic channel love it 🥰 prayers and thoughts for you and your family love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤ please stay safe and healthy and and keep up your amazing work ❤❤❤
I didn’t read many of the books here and it was interesting to see the ones you recommended, I might give them a try. Many of them don’t call to me at all. I guess I know my taste better and better so I have a good feeling when I will like something, unless I am trying something completely new. I highly recommend Song of Achilles, it is beautiful!
Hahahah, I think we've all done the Caraval thing more times than we should have... like, I feel the exact same about Murderbot as you do and yet I have read them all 🤣 And I just finished The Last Word and 100% agree that it was absolutely bonkers, but in a good way. Loved seeing you go through these!!
If you are willing to give Robin Hobb another chance, the Liveship Traders is not so slow as Farseer and Tawny Man, it has multiple perspectives written in the third person, the characters are complex and interesting... It's a very different experience.
I love Red Rising, it’s actually one of my favorite books lol. I was shocked you didn’t even put it in ‘I can see it’, but in reading the comments I’m thinking me loving the first book I’m the one in the minority lol. I feel like even if I didn’t like it I could still see why it gets the hype, but since I like it maybe I’m blinded too. But I do agree I really dislike the made up slang words, I never like when books do that and when I started the first few chapters of Red Rising the first time I read it, I almost DNF’d because of that haha. But overall, I almost always match up with your opinions on books, and most of this video follows the same 😊 Thanks for doing this I can’t wait for more in the series-it just goes to show how there’s an audience for every book, but not every book is for every audience 😊
@@JessieMaeBooks oh that's good. The Martian was my favorite too! Artemis was kind of a let down for me so I was hesitant on Project Hail Mary, but omg, the suspense of figuring it out with him. O.O I had to put the book down I was so nervous lol
Loving your hot takes.😂 City of Bones was everywhere when I first started watching BookTube, and I fell for the hype. It’s one of the worst books I’ve ever read. The writing, the characters, the plot holes, just no.
Give Red Rising another go-the other books are so different from the first book in tone/writing and overall narrative! The first book is, to me, VERY 2010 dystopian YA but the other books are not.
Oh wow, we have a lot in common regarding book opinions :D From the books I've read I totally agree and there are still many more I want to try. I did not like Red Rising but I am going to read book 2 still, since everyone says so haha and I was listening to the All Systems Red and omfg no, the audio was making me angry. The narration was so dry I just could not...I understand it is a robot but still :D Poppy war and Six of Crows YES!
Yeah someone else that had a “meh” reaction to Addie LaRue. Our tastes align very well: love Hail Mary (I cried, laugh, and was so engaged) But you didn’t like Murder Bot or Every Heart a Doorway (Wayward Children series), ouch 😝 Love your content an can’t wait for your next video.
Reading Dark Age right now and its so different from Red Rising, that said I like the original trilogy more but I think its an unpopular opinion how comfortable I find the tropes in the first book 😂 it was the perfect vacation read when I picked it up, minimum brain cells required
I had so many issues with the ending of Love and Other Words that I was actively angry that I read it! I also loved The Unhoneymooners though. I just read The sequel novella and it was so cute!
I'm mostly a romance and so-called women's fiction reader. I have to agree with your views on Christina Lauren and Emily Henry's books. I, too, loved Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating and didn't care as much for Love and Other Words. (I'd put The Unhoneymooners between the two of them.) I'm not sure I'd put Love and Other Words at "Absolutely Not" but it just wasn't for me. Same with Emily Henry. I enjoyed Beach Read a great deal but couldn't really connect with People We Meet On Vacation. As for Taylor Jenkins Reid, I haven't read Evelyn Hugo yet, but -- and here's where we part ways -- I did not like Daisy Jones as much as other readers. I just couldn't take the Daisy Jones character, who I felt was so self-centered and uncaring of her impact on other people. I related to Billy a lot more, so I guess I liked half the book.
I must respectfully disagree with you RE: Murderbot. I enjoyed them quite a bit (except the one full length novel). Personally I would have them in "It was a good time". Oh, well. I do, however agree with having Blade Itself there. In fact, I'd put the entire First Law Trilogy in 'A good time" (Or perhaps in the third tier). Didn't love it, or hate it, but would read the other books in the universe. And Green Bone saga was a good one for me. Even though you're not there yet, Jade Legacy would be in that top tier for me. Was my best book of January this year.

I think The First Law isn't really a trilogy, but rather a novel in three volumes.
Even though you didn't really like it, you should definitely read the next Red Rising book! The books get better and better as you go. :D
