I rarely read YA these days, but I agree with a lot of your favorites. I loved The Raven Boys, Skyward, Strange the Dreamer, Illuminae, Fireborne, The Hunger Games, Diviners, and Scythe. My favorite YA fantasy not mentioned here is The Winner’s Curse. I read it so long ago that I don’t know if it would hold up, but I absolutely loved all three books when I first read them.
Queen's Rising duology by Rebecca Ross and The kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson are 2 of my ALL TIME FAVORITES..... FOREVER!! I am definitely a pushover for this type of book, even in my 50's when I read them. Love love love.....
Glad to hear that someone else has read and enjoyed Thousand Pieces of You! I am usually not a Sci-Fi reader, but this is the series in which I found that I love this kind of multiverse hopping. Claudia Gray seems to have ideas that I really like, even though, her characters in this series... mehhhh, as you say, they are not the strongest point of it 😅 But I think her character work has improved in her newest trilogy about Jane Austen next gen detective duo murder mystery (+ some slow burn romance) and it is such a fun story to follow ☺
I'm a new author and I feel so out of it because I haven't read a lot of these. Since becoming a high school teacher, time has been unbelievably limited. I loved Eragon and The Maze Runner.
In my list I would swap Truthwitch with Throne of Glass, and Daughter of smoke and bone with An Ember in the ashes. Otherwise I think I agree with all the ones I’ve read!
My nopes are: Shatter Me, Six Of Crows, Siren (The). Disney retellings lately tend to rev up late in the book, based on my recent reads. 📚 My favorite YA fantasy would be The Heroes of the Olympus series.
Shadow of the Fox was cute until book 3. 🥺 it got so sad. You need to check out song of silver, flame like night the new series from Amelie wen zhao it was so good
I was in my 40's and LOVED The Lunar Chronicles 🤭 Agree with MAZE RUNNER & SCYTHE... Really enjoyed both series First DIVERGENT book was fantastic... It went downhill for me after that... I enjoyed the first Red Queen book, but 2nd book was a chore and then I DNF'd 3rd book
I disagree on The Kiss of Deception. I’m 42 and loved book one and two. Looking forward to book three. 😊
I love that series, the characters are so good
my 57 year old self will have them on my favorites of all time list...... forever!!
Good take on eragon

The Winners Curse will always be a heart wrenching favorite.... forever!!
Illuminae is one of my FAV scifi series it's so good especially for being YA! I also love Little Thieves and Painted Devils so good!!
An Ember in the Ashes (as a series) toes that line between Adult and YA.
Queen's Rising duology by Rebecca Ross and The kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson are 2 of my ALL TIME FAVORITES..... FOREVER!! I am definitely a pushover for this type of book, even in my 50's when I read them. Love love love.....
the diviners is SO underrated!! literally nobody i know has heard of it and it killsss meeee
That’s my all time favorite series I don’t understand why it’s not more popular
The girl who fell beneath the sea is my favorite book that I read this year. And I'm 30.
That book has such a gripping cover and compelling story! 😊 Age doesn’t matter in reading (or anything)! 😂
Still watching, but I’m loving this video! The knife of never letting go is one of my fave YA books!

Out of all of these, I loved Jackaby, Illuminae, The Kiss of Deception, Spin the Dawn, The Hunger Games, and Cinder!!
I’m working my way through the Throne of Glass seies and really enjoying. I just have the last 2 to finish.
The last books are the best!! I did not really feel the series but tower of dawn and kingdom of ash are fantastic books!! 😊
In my list I would swap Truthwitch with Throne of Glass, and Daughter of smoke and bone with An Ember in the ashes. Otherwise I think I agree with all the ones I’ve read!

The Infernal Devices continues to be my favorite series! ❤

Loveeeeeeee a tier list🎉
You know, I never realised that An Enchantment of Ravens was classed as YA, I was convinced it was adult, it had more of a mature kind of feel for me
I did not know either!! That book is soooo good, it rivals some young adult or even adult fantasy 😊
Do you think the Diviners can be read as a standalone?
I only read the first book. I loved it, but felt fine with the finish and didn't need to go on.
I was in my 40's and LOVED The Lunar Chronicles 🤭
Agree with MAZE RUNNER & SCYTHE... Really enjoyed both series
First DIVERGENT book was fantastic... It went downhill for me after that...
I enjoyed the first Red Queen book, but 2nd book was a chore and then I DNF'd 3rd book
I really enjoyed the divergent series and blood heir and the sequel the hunger games was good
WTF was happening with the ending of The Gilded Ones?😂
Too much about age a good book is a good book.
