Update : revision 7.2 is out. I Fixed files for the Yamaha track and added a few parts that will help streamline the Yamaha conversion. Also added lightweight parts compatible with ALL the 1:7 platforms. They should be just as strong as the older models, but lighter. Put them to the test!

You should look into getting a pair of cutting pliers for removing the long stringy plastic bits before the conversion

I assembled my tensioner piece a little differently. I put the plastic insert with the hole in first, ran the bolt through and put a lock nut between the insert piece and the main block (where the head of the bolt sits on yours). Works the same and no risk of the insert piece falling out.

If possible is there a way to get a less steep angle of attack on the front of the track, in real snowmobiles this is very important because you have to dig the snow out of the way rather than just drive over it.

Use LG HG2 batteries or other high current 18650 and make a replacement for the stock pack for a nice package.
If you do, set the lipo cutoff to the lowest level, otherwise it will cut off too fast.
When I did the upgrade kit I never had any problems with the lugs being to long

Sometimes the transmitter and receiver are not paired right and the signal is not sent is a way that is recognised. Your manual has a pairing proceidure for that. You can even look online. Good luck!
@@Pascal_Robert--Rc_Creations Thanks! It was pairing properly but the joysticks on the remote weren't contacting the controls I took it apart and was able to get it working.
How much voltage can the stock esc hold on the Viper rc and can it handle 9.6v?
Well for one the stock stuff is not an esc, its a simple toy pcb.
I'm sure it can handle 9.6V but probably not for long.
My stock RC yamaha holds 9.4v

With the electronic speed controller i installed, it can take 12.6v

Yes, you take everything out. The only parts you keep is the tunnel and the hood

can the aftermarket track fit on the stock Yamaha skid?
Maybe the small paddle one would fit, but its not made for that. You'd also have to change the front drivers, and find a way to deal with the track tension stretch.
Basically, its pretty difficult

La valeure est une question de perspective. Si c'est la seule chose disponible, naturellement que sa en vaux la peine. Il y a moyen d'avoir une bonne performance a faible cout si vous etes capable de faire les pieces chez vous
