its not that it looks bad for me. it's that it looks bad in base trim/small wheels and even the first m sport package looks weird because the satin grill with blacked out everything else doesn't match. you need both m sport and professional. it's just greed to make it look proper. the G30 without m sport was still handsome enough and there was only 1 m sport package vs 2 now. Just another hidden price increase to make it look right
Can’t wait to drive it! I agree, I like PHEVs that offer electrification and fuel savings on a daily basis but the flexibility of avoiding the DC fast charging network on roadtrips.
Does anybody know why bmw does not use the 30i petrol engine in the 330e/530e but the 20i instead. The 30i is such a more round engine and would deal better with the weight of the hybrid models when the battery is empty.
Nobody at my local BMW dealers can really explain the electric i5 very well… can you explain the motors over again Eli5 style? The dealership couldn’t even tell me if they can service a group of batteries, if one ends up going bad, or if they’d have to replace the entire battery (like Tesla). From my understanding BMW can just service one section of the battery if a cell within that battery goes dead. They literally had no idea and said that they’d actually be able to replace the individual cell, which I think is total bullshit, and gave a price tag of $10k CAD + labour to change 1 cell… Now why would I say $15k+ to service a single cell in the battery pack rather than replacing the entire group of batteries… Anyways do I really have to worry about the bushes on the motor too? Are they even serviceable or do they just replace the motor? If so, how much do they cost? Thanks everyone, I’ve test driven the m60 and think it could fit into my next purchase category.
BMW i5 eDrive40 or i5 M60?
Why would you not mention the roof has a shade
can you share what is the phone holder mounted on the air vent?

How about the 550e. Best of both worlds.

We will test it soon
Are the tires run flat?
No
