- I walk through how I used GoBoard to waterproof a shower I am installing in a new bathroom. Make sure to thoroughly read through GoBoard's most recent documentation for accurate information on how to properly install their products for waterproofing your bathroom.
Nice job!
Thank you ❤❤
great video to the point no over explaining and loud music. Others installs i have seen look like the sealant flows better and more smooth. How many tubes of sealant did you use? I think if you would have sunk the washers in little deeper you might have not had as much trouble sealing. I will be starting mine in a few weeks we will see how it goes.
I used about a tube of sealant per goboard sheet I installed - but you should also have extra. In terms of sinking the fasteners in - I wish I bought the real goboard screws and just used those instead of any washers.
@@VincentStevenson im going to use washers i still think its better and cheaper then the screws. i have one wall were i need longer screws then the go board ones because i had to fur out the wall 1.25 and i want the screws to reach the 2x4 that is strap to concrete
good job 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Aren’t you supposed to use tape on the seams as well? About to do this myself
For go board you only use the go board sealant per their install instructions.
No tape needed
@@VincentStevenson they do sell a tape but i think its optional
How do u seal between the go board and the shower Pan ?
The goboard sealant goes there
You are supposed to rabbit the inside of the go board, So you can run it over the pan to 1/8” above the bottom lip.
I hate videos that give terrible instructions to people that don’t know any better 🙄
@CTSCNC no you are wrong kiddo
