Not sure if someone has said this before, but when you put your shoes on first thing in the morning you should really hit them on the ground, heel first toes to the sky, to make sure nothing has crawled in there overnight. You don't want to put your foot in and find out a scorpion or spider has made a bed in your shoe
Taste better if you warm them up in your shoes first. 👍

Born in Cali and moved when I was 18 to the east coast, VA to be exact. Went to visit and I swear I almost became a prune from the dry heat!! LOL

I first watched your channel when you did the AT. I have also followed several others who hiked the AT. The PCT is interesting to me because I have not watched anyone hike it so this is a first for me. I look forward to following you on this journey.

Day 2 and loving your wonderful footage you are kindly sharing with us❤ As a non-US citizen planning to hike the PCT next year it’s particularly interesting to watch your resupplies and “in town” clips, it’s one of my big worries of whether to send boxes or not and where to and what’s to buy as UK supermarkets and US vary a lot (your’s are better❤ 🇺🇸 ) Thanks again and happy trails

I came down MT Laguna in early April towards scissors. I was post holing in snow for the first few miles, then it eased up and back to dirt. Can’t wait to get back out there and continue my section hiking! Great to see everyone out there.

If your knee is hurting going down hill you need to strengthen your gluteus medius, it’s not as strong as it should be, that’s where knee pain comes from, I’ve been there too. So excited to take this journey with you

great days on the trail.. yeah i think less up and down on much of the PCT vs AT and the trails are generally very well groomed making it faster for you but it wont all be like that... you survived the desert winds and got a jackrabbit, that's awesome. thanks for sharing
I think you may have picked a good year to do this. California had a pretty wet winter, so not only is fire risk lower than usual, there is much more greenery than there might be otherwise.

While I really like the Sawyer squeeze, I picked up a platypus Quickdraw on sale for $23 and I’m really starting to appreciate the ability to test the integrity on the fly, and not constantly having to make sure I didn’t lose the little sealing gasket. Might be worth checking out if you can find a good deal…. Piece of mind if nothing else.

Don't forget: you're waking up at 5:30 because you're on the WEST COAST. That's 8:30in Pennsylvania. You'll acclimatize in a few days.

Hokas have saved my feet. Not only do I have a nerve disorder in one of my feet but, I do 12 hour shifts and run my ass off (healthcare). These are the only shoes I wear for work or hiking. I swear by them.
I was going to switch to them but then I tried how narrow the toe box was even in the wide model.

Have you tried the Topo Unltraventure? It's also Zip Foam but a bit more stack height.
That's currently what I'm wearing in these videos and a few more videos I find it. It was the inp problems so no worries

Is it possible to do the PCT physically unprepared or not very fit? would it take longer I guess instead of 5 months maybe 6 or 7 to complete as being unfit the hike would be considerably slowest?
I don’t like the idea of the water filter on the end of a water bottle. It’s too fragile for that. The Befree is a better option.
It sucks it's not fragile at all. I haven't had a problem in over 1800 MI. Some people like to crank down the filter on the water bottle and that screws up the o-ring. It's best to just get it snug and lay off
