Eric's voice is still smooth and rich, and he still makes the guitar sing beautifully. His world class band mates play incredibly well together, they know perfectly how to fit into the ensemble and blend their style in harmony. I like that Eric and the band can bring easy, acoustic soul to a song we're used to hearing electric and loud.God bless Eric for continuing to perform with such heart. It's a fucking dream team here, they're getting old in age for sure, but they can still deliver big time! I WAS THERE, AND I'M STILL CRYING...

WOW! It's time to stay home and watch soaps EC! I started playing guitar because of Cream and Hendrix. I've followed his career since day one. I can't tell you how many times I've seen him live. The last was at MSG a few years back. This is the most lack luster performance I've ever seen him do. Just AWFUL!! If yer not gonna try and play your ass off EC? Stop robbing your fans wallets and hang it up. You made it clear ITS TIME!! Another hero shot. Last time I saw Steven Stills, same thing. Some people just think they'll be gr8 "4ever man" (pun intended) So Sad!! If you still wanna get out there and play at this point in your life? You should play FOR FREE! You certainly don't need the money with your huge yachts and boutique car collections. This is "THE VEGAS CLAPTON". Not the bluesman I use to idolize...RIP!

Ich stimme Ihnen zu. Für die gesalzenen Eintrittspreise benimmt sich "Mr. Slowhand" sehr "unterkühlt". Oder es wurde Vieles heraus geschnitten. Da würdigte z. B. ein Leonard Cohen seine Begleitband viel warmherziger.
Ist vielleicht seine Art. Er trägt seine Gefühle nicht so nach außen. In seiner Biografie schreibt er dass er zur Beerdigung seines Sohnes keine Emotionen zeigen konnte. Wir wissen ja dass er 3 Lieder geschrieben hat um das zu verarbeiten wovon 2 Welthits geworden sind. Seine Musik ist sehr persönlich, mehr kann man vielleicht auch nicht verlangen.

After the wonderful years of Clapton (John Mayall, Cream), what a pity to watch him nowadays. He was a genius, some called him god. Now, he is hardly an average musician...
You can only speak for yourself. For me its just the opposite, his playing is amazing.
