    Excellent work as always. I do enjoy watching you work, and the level of detail is beyond impressive.
    Have you ever considered giving yourself timed sculpting challenges? (Similar to Mumbo Jumbo's challenges in Minecraft, where he created a given object in 10 minutes,5 minutes, and 1 minute). It would be interesting to see what is possible.

    You're amazing, dude! I first started watching your videos a few weeks ago when I got Dreams and I honestly just kept getting overwhelmed and would just go experiment on my own. Now I have the UI and controls down and just watching through your videos once is enough to make a world of difference. I've come a long way and yet, I'm still just getting started. I owe you big time. It's honestly gonna be a long time before I even consider playing anything else. I have it in VR and nothing else I've played has even come close to the experience. I wish I had friends that played cause when I'm not playing it, I want to talk about it.

    Wow ! The paint flecks foliage is absolutely gorgeous ! Actually, it's the most beautiful foliage I have never seen in games, at least in this style of stylized or handpainted foliage. I mean, I saw plenty of game with foliage that look more or less like that, but this is above everything. Maybe it's pretty personnal also but, I don't know, this type of foliage in Dreams has something that others stylized foliage in other games have not. It looks so nice, so painterly, so 2D but at the same time enough 3D looking that it works perfectly when the camera turn around. It's like pure magic !! I can't get enough of it ! I'm very curious : Do you know if it is possible to make this exact foliage style in another game engine, like Unreal Engine or Unity, for example ? Or is this something really specific to Dreams which can't be reproduce in another game engine ? It seems it's all a matter of shader and "3D cards" (I believe it's the good term) so in theory, it can be reproduce whatever the game engine but, I don't know, really, this shit seems to have something that I can't see in other games so I'm perplex...

    • @SakkusMind
      @SakkusMind  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love your fascination for the style here! It's kinda funny because usually Dreams people tend to try and avoid the painterly style but I absolutely love it :)
      On the other hand I'm missing the stylized leaves of other engines ^^'
      I'm not as familiar with other engines but the grease pencil in Blender allows for fairly similar results from what I have seen :)

    And maybe I'm wrong in this, but I guess the bake tool Mm is working on could help to merge those sculpts to bring down the thermo. I guess in some way could be used?

    Its actually surprising that a leaf fleck wasn’t included. I would still want to make my own too, but a default leaf fleck would have and probably still make a huge difference.. a realistic foundation.. and generally a natural shape that takes up a lot of space in a scene or game. I like the other flecks.. they are obviously very adaptable.. but even one or two more would be most welcome.. providing at least one is a leaf 🌿
    Thanks for your vids and tutorials.. always great 👍🏻

    • @SakkusMind
      @SakkusMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yes any new fleck would be highly appreciated since it will always open up a bunch of new possibilities :)
      Leaf fleck would definitely be my number 1 wish since it's the hardest to create leaves in Dreams ^^

    I really wonder if a merge objects feature is feasible. Since the order of operations is important in sculpting, merging things gets kinda wonky if you allow negative shapes. We often use huge negative shapes that are mostly invisible but are physically there. If you merge an object that was made like that into another one, these negative shapes might cut away parts of the second object. So while I bet it is possible to merge like that, I bet it would be very confusing for many creators, because they don't keep in mind, how their object was shaped.
    If merging was only possible for objects with positive shapes that might be less of a problem, since everything is obviously visible. And yeah, I once expected that this feature would be available by now. I'm not that certain anymore...

    • @SakkusMind
      @SakkusMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good call but maybe they find a way to only leave what's visible in the end, it would at least safe a crazy amount of time ^^

    • @SakkusMind
      @SakkusMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You want to go inside of the group, press double X to select everything in the group and then clone it because cloning groupes increases gameplay thermo ^^

      Think of it like things in a box. Let's say you have 5 plants, all of them are together in a single box. You now want 50 plants. You could take the box and copy it until you have ten boxes. Now you have 50 plants and 10 boxes. The thing is that each box takes up extra space (thermo/memory) and is not required. So you could instead open up the first box in the beginning, copy the 5 plants inside this one single box until you have 50 plants in one box. You get away with 9 fewer boxes for the same visual effect.

    That paint flecks grass gave me nightmares. I was making a scene where the sun was hanging low in the sky and stone pillars were casting shadows on it. Problem being that the shadows became superimposed deepest black you could never imagine. And since the sun was casting light at such a low angle, none of the tweaks were enough to deal with that.

    Sakku, quick question if you dont mind... Do you use the regular controller or PS move motion controllers for your creations?

  • @tizianofrancisci5152
    @tizianofrancisci5152 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Sakku I've got a little question, would you recommend buying and using the ps move controllers to reach more fluency with creating or would you describe the experience as the same as the one with the classical dualshock? Because I want to be really sure of their effectiveness if I have to spend 100 euros or so. THANKS in advance

    • @SakkusMind
      @SakkusMind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I would highly recommend you to get the move controllers, that's money well spend if you enjoy creating with Dreams because it is indeed a lot more fluent with them, especially when it comes to painting and smearing, it's more precise, faster, more artistic and tbh also just more fun :)
