That looks like a great machine. I went small for the first one just to test the waters but now I'm pushing it's limits hard. The extra capacity and better design on the PROVerXL should be great. It looks good from here! 😅 I only wish I could make something half as nice. It's good that you point out all of the issues. What software do you use for this? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent.
@4legdfishman Can't see it from my house! LoL. I'm always learning too, so if I see something I need to fix, I like to point it out. I figure it may help someone else as they're learning it, too. I just switched from Carveco Maker to Vectric Vcarve desktop, so I'm learning a new software, too. I run UGS to send the code. It's pretty basic, but it's free, and it works. Thanks for watching!
How long did it take to cut the male and female pieces? Also what bit(s) did you use? I have the same CNC and have yet to successfully get my male pieces to fit the female.
It ran for about 10 or 11 hours to do that one. I had it turned down to like 40 IPM feed rate. 20 degree v-bit and a 1/4" for clearing but think I need to go to smaller bit for clearing. Do you have the new model XZ axis? I couldn't get anything cut accurately before I did that. I have another video on that if you haven't seen it.
I dont know for sure when they came out. I didn't know about it until a few months ago when I was ready to trash it and move on. Might be worth taking a look. I have a side by side comparison of the two showing the differences in the new one. They sent me the new one for free when I reached out about it.
@@lissy9113 Here's a link too the video showing the issues and the fix th-cam.com/video/R_ab4RHhvKc/w-d-xo.html It's the XZ axis that needs replaced. I went to the Sainsmart/Genmitsu website and contacted customer service. Told them what I had and that I had the old model. They asked for my address and sent it out.
great work, thinking of getting this one - PROVerXL 6050 Plus CNC Router

@@EvolutionWoodworks I don’t know when was the new axis released? I got my machine in November 2023

@@EvolutionWoodworks where can I see the comparison and if you don't mind what did you say to get the replacement?
