Thanks for making this video. I am looking to get this unit but heard about the flex and wanted to see if there were any solid solutions out there to handle it. Cheers!!
Want to buy plans to make this diamond end grain but don't see them listed anywhere. Please help, I love your videos! Just finished your end grain basket weave and it turned out great thanks to your instruction and videos.
Thank you! The link should be in the description but here it is just in case. bit.ly/3XpI0BQ
If purchasing the plans for this how difficult would it be to scale up the dimensions to be say 18x24x2? Any insight on how to adjust cut list for that?
You'll need to figure out how many extra pieces to add in the middle section to get the length and width you want. Also you may want to upscale the stripes a bit too keep the proportions correct. If you have thicker stock to start with you can adjust the size that way too. The basic formula is (Finished cutting board length / Material thickness) x Finished cutting board thickness + (Saw blade kerf x Number of pieces) = Total lumber length needed. You'll need to figure it out for each section based on the size you want it to be and add in for waste and sanding.
Great video, young man! New subscriber here!!!
@@ColvinAvianBreadline LOL. Thanks!

😊nice video good job i have the same car with the same configuration my spoilboard is the one in mdf and aluminum track. i wanted to ask you if it is possible for you to send me the file to replicate your perforated spoilboard so i can make one too. thanks
Nice video
Great looking finished project! I too have the need for a drill press table. In the short term, I simply drilled a hole through one end of my "fence" (plywood strip) and "table" (plywood rectangle). Adding a 1/4" bolt with a wing nut creates a pivot point. Now I can can position the fence any distance away from the center of the chuck and use a single clamp at the other end of the fence to lock it in place. It's utilitarian, but effective. Just a thought until you build the ultimate table system.
That sounds too easy. I prefer to punish myself until I finally get around to making a "real" one. HA! But seriously, I may have to whip something like that up in the meantime. Thanks for tip!
@@EvolutionWoodworks It beats having to grow a third hand 😄
The real problem is that if I started to do something simple like that I would stop the whole project I'm working on and focus on the drill press table until it was done the way I think I want it. Unless something else needed built to make building the table easier then I'd stop both projects and work on that until I had two or three projects going at once and nothing gets finished. And, of course if I have a day without a project in the shop when I could be working on it, I'll find something else to do because I need a day out of the shop. 🤣
Great video
Thanks!
Well done! I'll definitely add that to my future projects list. Best of luck to you.
Thanks!
That turned out real pretty. Well done, young man :-)

Yeah. That's what it was...honest. 😉

@brownlonghair3 Thank you!
Awesome video! I bought your guide and just had a question? What were the beginning measurements of the wood you used? Both the Maple and Walnut? And are those sizes a pretty normal standard both those wood types come in?
@collinrowe8769 Thanks for the purchase! If you're asking about the original full board sizes, it was all 8/4 rough lumber from the sawmill that I planed and cut down to size.
Beautiful board! I wish you had shown exactly how you got that pattern in the corner. Looks like you just flipped every other piece.
Thanks! I go into a little more detail in the plans. www.evowoodworks.com/products/diy-plans-four-corners-end-grain-cutting-board?ToPasteBoard&
- if ya can .. can ya explain the water “popping’ process.. and the step after that?
Basically just spray some water on, let it dry and continue sanding. You could wipe it with a wet rag instead. Anything to get it wet but not soak it. Once it dries it'll feel rough and you can sand it smooth again. If you don't do it now it will happen the first time the board gets washed and you'll lose your smooth surface. Be sure not to lay it flat while it's drying or it will warp.
Great job mate! 🎉
I don't think you're boring. Love the fact that you don't add in a bunch of dumb stuff from comics trying to be funny. You're just straight forward. Keep up the videos and good work. Thanks!!!!
@@charlottemiracle4601 Thank you!
Канал как пилить и строгать. Деловой информации нет. Дерьмо канал, не рекомендую
Oops 😂
Awesome build, but I missed something. Why at 5.27 did you cut the whole board in to strips and then glue it back together?
It was a face/edge grain board at that point. Cutting it into strips, turning them on end and gluing it back together is how it becomes an end grain board.
Ok. I get it. Great build. Thanks
@jimwalsh6453 No problem. 👍
Thanks for the video! Question: what type of maple do you use that's so clear? My hardwood supply is very mixed bag, but rarely is the maple i use that clear and clean.
@abluishgray2244 In that board, it's definitely soft maple. I believe silver maple, but I'm not 100% sure.
😢немного не так сделал

What kind of clamps are those
@bishopbiglove1976 The blue ones are Rockler mini panel clamps. The orange are Jorgensen.

Happy New Year!! I went back and your box makin videos, I am have been working on that skill but having the hardest time with thin stock 1/4 and getting the 45s to line up. any tips i did order a new incra miter guage so maybe that will help lol
The sled I built makes a big difference since I can lock it down and use the stop to make sure the parts are the exact same length. Also make sure your parts are flat and under cut the angle ever so slightly by cutting just over 45°. That way any gap will be on the inside and the outside will be perfect. And of course, practice, practice, practice!
Great attention to detail. I am sure they are going to need a few more. 🥰
